The Kohlen Crystal is a Lightsaber Focusing Crystal also known as "false kyber". On a macro level it shares the same appearance and characteristics as a kyber crystal, but differs in it's actual structural makeup when more closely examined. When used in a lightsaber, the Kohlen Crystal produces a low-powered blade that is typically orange in color and is capable of penetrating kohlen crystal-powered shields.
