Basilisk War Droid

The Basilisk War Droid is a towering 2.9-meter to 5-meter tall Combat Droid designed in ancient times and used by Mandalorian Crusaders as a formidable and ridable droid companion. It has two clawed powerful front legs and four smaller hind legs, with heavy armor, fore, and aft sensor clusters, and high-boost engines that allow them to operate effectively on the ground, in the air, or in the vacuum of space blurring the lines between droid and vehicle. The Basilisk's droid brain gave it a rudimentary, animal-like self-awareness of a semi-sentient degree. Although they could operate independently, most war droids often took the role of loyal mounts to direction-giving riders and had to be powered up or shut down in an eternal process that took seconds. A rider's control of a Basilisk War Droid is directly related to their skill in Piloting. They have a powerful array of armament, with the primary weapon - a cluster of shockwave generator rods that together could form a burst of plasma capable of ripping through starship hulls - residing on the nose.

Predatory Inclination (Droid Personality)

Basilisk War Droid has developed a predatory nature similar to those often associated with assassin droids. As a result, Basilisk War Droid will often approach a situation with the mind set of a hunter, and convey their findings as such. This can be disconcerting to others who are unaccustomed to Basilisk War Droid.

Black As Night (Droid Cosmetic)

Basilisk War Droid has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this Basilisk War Droid to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen.

Programming Override (Droid Enhancement Upgrade - III)

Basilisk War Droid has had most of the factory installed safety limitations on operation removed, both in the hardware and software, allowing this Basilisk War Droid to perform acts at the limits of its physical capabilities

Flamethrower (Combat Droid Upgrade - III)

This Basilisk War Droid has been equipped with a flamethrower attachment, allowing it to shoot a circular cone 5 meters long of superheated plasma.

Gravity Generator (Advanced) (Droid Structural Upgrade - III)

Basilisk War Droid has been fitted with an advanced gravity generator with an unregulated governor, allowing this Basilisk War Droid to create an incredibly powerful gravity swell that increases the weight of an enemy and dramatically slows an enemy.
