The Old Republic Jedi Armor Overlay is a group of Light Armor plates that form an overlay designed to be attached to and worn over a set of Jedi Robes or other suitable attire, and therefore not capable of being worn over a suit of armor. It was used by the Ancient Jedi as an extra layer of flexible protection during wartime while maximizing their ability to use the Force. The Old Republic Jedi Armor Overlay is forged from a mixture of cortosis alloy that provide it great protection from lightsaber strikes and minimal protection from the elements and blaster fire.
Major Cortosis Weave Construction
This Old Republic Jedi Armor Overlay has been constructed with a large amount of rare cortosis metal weaved into the main material. This major cortosis weave gives Nora Olen the ability to resist six to eight strikes or glancing blows of a lightsaber using her Old Republic Jedi Armor Overlay before this protection is no longer provided.
