Prototype: Quantum Saber
The Quantum Saber is an ancient weapon of unknown origin, originating from the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. It bears a striking resemblance to the lightsabers commonly used by Jedi and Sith, but is much more advanced. The blade is powered by a miniature quantum singularity fed through a kyber crystal, allowing it to cut through almost any material with precision. The singularity's strength weakens the longer the weapon is active to the point it can barely withstand lightsaber blades, and is at its most powerful immediately after being activated.
Quantum Edge
The blade of a Quantum Saber is not made of plasma like traditional lightsabers. Instead, it is harnessed power of a contained quantum singularlity, producing a blade that cuts through materials at the atomic level. This weapon is exceptionally effective against lightsaber resistant materials, and can parry lightsaber blades. The longer the blade is active the weaker the singularity becomes, reducing the strength of the cutting power to that of a standard lightsaber blade.
The outer casing of this lightsaber has been constructed using beskar, making it nearly indestructable and resistant to lightsaber attacks.
This lightsaber is equipped with a fusion shunt near the emitter, allowing the blade to be focused into a small 5cm long cutting torch.
