The Quantum Saber is an ancient weapon of unknown origin, originating from the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. It bears a striking resemblance to the lightsabers commonly used by Jedi and Sith, but is much more advanced. The blade is powered by a miniature quantum singularity fed through a kyber crystal, allowing it to cut through almost any material with precision. The singularity's strength weakens the longer the weapon is active to the point it can barely withstand lightsaber blades, and is at its most powerful immediately after being activated.
Quantum Edge
The blade of a Quantum Saber is not made of plasma like traditional lightsabers. Instead, it is harnessed power of a contained quantum singularlity, producing a blade that cuts through materials at the atomic level. This weapon is exceptionally effective against lightsaber resistant materials, and can parry lightsaber blades. The longer the blade is active the weaker the singularity becomes, reducing the strength of the cutting power to that of a standard lightsaber blade.
Duraanir is an expert-crafted lightsaber that features a haysian smelt gold coating in several areas, but is primarily black and silvery chrome in color. It features a split-pronged two-piece emitter shroud, small metallic crossguard, recessed activation buttons, and quad-layered hand grip. A perfect counterbalance pommel completes the ensemble. The blade produced by this lightsaber has a an ichor-green core that fades to black at the top and is crackling with lightning, with an ichor-green glow.
This lightsaber is equipped with a dual-phase emitter matrix that allows the blade to be between a solid beam and flexible whip which uses the user's Miscellaneous Weapons skill.
This lightsaber has been treated with Sith Alchemy, rendering the weapon almost indestructible and completely resistant to lightsaber attacks.
Duraanir's conversion is activated depending on pressure on the hand grip. When enough grip pressure is applied, the small metallic crossguards slide down the hilt of the blade their overall height and a small blade matching the same color and hue as the main blade is produced from either side, converting this Quantum Saber into a crossguard lightsaber.
