Primary reason

I am honoured to be awarding Marcus this Steel Cross for his work and activity inside of the Brotherhood and Clan Naga Sadow. Since his last award he has been constantly active, helping progress Naga Sadow and the newer members of the Clan. He has constantly strived to improve himself and those around them and is always helping out.

Marcus has taken on the duty of Clan Rollmaster for the last two months. During this time he has revamped the system inside of Naga Sadow. Upon taking up the duty he developed a new master and student guide, allowing people to sign up and keep track of all the masters currently assigned students. As well as this he has been constantly emailing students to keep interaction with them. This has seen a recent flourish in new member activity participating in the Brotherhood and helping to drive up activity in Naga Sadow. Marcus takes the role seriously, he keeps up a strong presence and communication on IRC and Email. Recently putting to use Telegram he has expanding the experience for countless members throughout his time in Office.

Marcus has been on a burst of activity lately, with the sheet he created for students he has been pairing them up with the compatible masters to help keep their interest in the Brotherhood high, managing to set up a total of ten Master and Student Pairings since taking on the responsibilities of Rollmaster. Marcus often looks at trying to share his experience within the Brotherhood with others outside in his personal life. In doing so he has recently been able to recruit another active member to the Clan.

As well as working as a leader, Marcus has constantly been active himself. Recently participating in a total of six competitions, managing to earn himself two Crescents with Amethyst Stars, one Sapphire Star and a Emerald Star. He is always trying to expand his knowledge of the Brotherhood and taking advantage of the Shadow Academy, he has recently managed to pass a total of sixteen courses and for this effort earned himself four Degrees. Marcus is dabbling in other aspects of the Brotherhood taking his time to game as well for this he has managed to take thirty two clusters of fire as well as a total of sixty two clusters of earth. His activity and devotion to progress is outstanding inside of the club as he leads by example for the newer members.

Marucs has been hard at work lately in organizing the running of the Awakening event, working with the small team to give the entire Clan a fun packed story line to get involved in. Marcus was key at the end of the event getting the fiction graded, sitting there and going thru the entire 41 posts in the Run-On with myself. Then going on to grade the fiction with me to allow the members to have the result of the event quickly. As well as grading Marcus proofed the fiction as it was being developed, this involved proofing eleven thousand words in total to help run a smooth event for the members.

I would like to congratulate Marcus on this Steel Cross, he has been a true pillar in the leadership chain of Naga Sadow. Working hard every day to give members the experience they want from the club. Thank you for all your hard work Marcus and keep it up in the future.

Additional reasons

Marcus has been a great force within Naga Sadow and is one of our latest rising stars. He has quickly taken to leadership and involvement, and demonstrated the skills and dedication one would expect of a veteran member.

While an active member, Marcus has been a solid leader. He stepped forward in a Summit meeting a few months ago and volunteered to help run a major clan competition, along with myself, Cethgus and Darth Vexatus. That competition became Awakenings. Marcus was an instrumental aid in running Awakenings with us. He helped plan the competitions and the fiction, but he was truly an asset when it came to judging. Marcus read and graded 76,528 words of fiction, written across four fiction-based competitions, including a 41 post runon. He also proofed, editted, and consulted with us on the writing of 11,039 words of plot fiction. While this was written by Vexatus, Marcus had a huge voice in planning it and offered a unique insight that helped us provide a fiction that would be interesting to all of our members, rather than just to older ones. This goes well beyond what is expected of a Rollmaster, and was greatly appreciated. Marcus was the perfect individual for the job, and he lived up to and exceeded our expectations in helping to run it.

Aside from that, he has been a great Rollmaster in his two months in the position. He revamped the Master-Student Program process, by creating new standards and a new join form. He also changed the way in which masters and students learn about each other, revolutionizing the system to make it less of a blind pick and more about each member getting the most out of the process.

I'm very happy to have Marcus working with us on the leadership team of Naga Sadow, and he is someone I anticipate will go on to do great things. Thank you, Marcus.
