It is my honour to be recommending Monty for this Steel Cross, though he hasn’t been in Galeres long, his work inside of Arcona has already drawn the attention of most. He continued to work hard and push himself to develop further inside of the clan. What got me the most was looking at his participation in the recent feud that followed on from the Event Horizon. He was put with a team he didn’t know and had to quickly make them work together, keeping in constant touch via email and on IRC this guy then went all out himself. Participating in an impressive amount of events and helping Arcona's activity level overall. For this, his hard work helped his team secure first place overall in this event a hard feat by any measure. For all of the above reasons, we are awarding Monty this Steel Cross. I look forward to seeing what he continues to produce in the future. Congratulations Monty and keep the hard work up.

Cethgus Tiberus Entar Aedile of House Galeres

Monty came out swinging in the Arcona/Plagueis Beyond the Horizon Event, he earned Crescents for 3rd Place in the Week 1 Gaming (QWOP) competition and 3rd Place in the Team Run-On Event. Monty also earned 5th place in the Week 2 ID Scan Event. Beyond these three competitions Monty also participated in the Week 1 Acronym Event, Week 1 Trivia Event, and Week 2 Acronym Event.

All of this was accomplished in the first Event Montresor had the opportunity to participate in. His efforts contributed 70 points to the first place Team's score, it is worth noting that first place was only secured by a 42 point margin. While he only joined the DJB only 6 weeks prior to the start of this Event his participation and abilities were key to his Team finishing First Place. Without Monty's contributions the Team would not have been able to hold the top slot in this Event.

Nicely done Monty! Keep up the good work, you've got alot of good things ahead of you!

-Valhavoc Sergeant, Dark Forge Battleteam House Galeres of Clan Arcona

As Cethgus and Valhavoc have so eloquently put it, Montresor was a veritable whirlwind of activity during the 'Beyond the Horizons' feud with Plagueis. Montresor only just moved to Galeres earlier this week, so I'm writing this with information that I was given by his former BTL in Void Squadron. Monty is the kind of guy who will put 110% into anything that is put before him. He is quite new to the Brotherhood but seems to have fitted in quite nicely, shooting up through the ranks as one often sees the new breed of leadership do. But this medal isn't about how Monty did outside of the Feud, but how he did within it. Monty was one of the top scorers and was part of the winning team. I'm pleased to see Montresor awarded for his hard work during Beyond the Horizons with this Steel Cross.

Well done, Monty. Congrats, mate.

For approving 30 character sheets, handling CI approval/awarding, and serving as the P:Voice. Thanks for your hard work.

Montresor, Kalen, and Zoron created an excel worksheet that keeps track of awards, merit medals, sacramental medals, news posts, and reports. These trackers were originally created by hand and the data was manually input, but have since been coded within our website and provide an automatic review of those who need rewards and those who may need to be a little more pro-active in their visibility. This is an invaluable tool that will be used across the Dark Brotherhood and for years to come. Congrats!

It has been roughly four and one half years since Adept Montresor has received a merit medal. Since that time he has received a well deserved promotion and a sacramental award, but this award is long overdue.

Over the past 11 months, Monty has served as the Rollmaster of Clan Vizsla. In this roll he has personally greeted every new member of the Clan with a personalized email, paired new members with Masters, and oversaw the Knighting of three (soon to be four) random joins (no small task). Monty's work in this roll has been exceptional, especially for a self-proclaimed non-fan of Star Wars.

In addition to his great work as our Rollmaster, Montresor has participated in 23 competitions, written over 1800 words of fiction, earned two Vendetta Nova, and was a full Bin participant in the last Great Jedi War.

Monty is also a daily regular in our Telegram Channels and has served as a sounding board for members and leaders alike. Lastly, it would be unfair not to give Monty credit for his phenomenal work in helping stand up Clan Vizsla. He was the key editor in chief of our foundational documents ranging from our Clan proposal to our follow on documents that resulted in the creation of Clan Vizsla.

Thanks for all you've done for the Clan and the Club. You are my favorite poncho.

I honestly don’t know what else to say about Montresor that hasn’t been said 100 times over. His work ethic is second to none as can be seen throughout his time in the DJB, and the past year is no exception. Despite a busy life outside the club that is demanding he served admirably as the Rollmaster to Clan Vizsla by helping in the planning and running of clan events. Montresor was an asset in proofing not just members entries to competitions but in teaching members how to use best practices in designing and running competitions themselves. He reviewed every competition that was ran and offered up ways to write them up and run them more efficiently and to a higher standard. Reports were likewise reviewed and feedback given to improve the quality. As the role of rollmaster has changed Montresor found ways to keep the position relevant and important to the Clan.

His quantifiable participation is a total of 26 competitions entered with over 2000 words of fiction combined between Run-Ons and fiction entries. He tallied 16 Shadow Academy courses and earned two degrees. He also placed 1st in the last Clan Vizsla Great Hunt. That is the stuff you can measure.

Montresor however is being recommended for the things you can’t measure. His advice and counsel to the Vizsla summit have been especially valuable, particularly as the tumultuous events unfolded in Clan Vizsla just before the Rites of Supremecy. As a new Proconsul, without a Consul, he provided me with instruction on how to work the various systems and tools on the website many of which I didn't even know existed. Instead of having to learn the hard way, his instruction gave me a leg up and helped keep my head above water. He continued to provide me with clear direction in what my role as Proconsul was and what and where I should focus my efforts, and offering his experience as someone I could reach out to with questions and concerns. After my appointment to Consul he continued in assisting me, helping make sure that I was prepared for my role as Consul once again showing me the ropes as it were. For this, I am extremely thankful. I award you this medal as a small token of not just my thanks but as thanks for your service to Clan Vizsla.
