Recipients of this Anteian Cross have shown consistent and dedicated service to one’s Battleteam, House, and/or Clan by having displayed a greater than average amount of activity over a period of several weeks that included participation in several projects, events or competitions. Rrogon Skar has been with Arcona now for over a year. In that year of time, he has slowly grinded his way through the ranks at his own pace, taking things slowly but patiently. For all that, he is friendly and has been coming out of his shell recently by being constantly present on IRC and engaging with his fellow members. He is always trying to get people together for G+ hangouts and has been brainstorming a competition he wants to run for the sake of others. Though his trials and journey to reaching Dark Jedi Knight has been a long one, Skar has never given up or turned away from the challenge. There is something endearing about a member who simply keeps going, no matter what. Skar is one of those members; a member that make being a leader in this club worthwhile.

Over the course of his year of membership, Skar has quietly earned himself 90 Clusters of fire, a Legion of the Scholar and a Crescent with a Sapphire star for coming in second place in the Mass Effect 3 competition! He has been an intregal part of getting Shadow Phyle set up, and has gone ahead and recruited two new members to the organization who are just starting to get their feet.

On top of this, for a Summit Task, Skar went through the entire Arcona Roster and input data line-by-line to help with the creation of a merit-sac-promotion-tracker for the Clan. The creation of this document now gives the Arcona Summit the ability to look at each member and see (on going) how many days it has been since Member X received X merit-sac-promotion. This chart is invaluable in its ability to help make sure members are rewarded timely and appropriately. This sheet does not get made if someone like Skar bunkers down and simply does the work. It is a service that goes beyond himself, and truly serves the Clan as a whole.

There are members that routinely go above and beyond, always the first to volunteer without any thought of recognition or reward beyond helping their unit. Rrogan Skar is one of those members. Skar selflessly volunteered to spend the considerable time and effort summarizing the House Galeres run-on of over 77 posts and 74,842 words into a succinct, easy to use, one page executive summary. The summary he produced proved invaluable to the House Qel-Droma summit for the planning and execution of a subsequent Clan run-on which merged the two House’s stories. This same summary provides an excellent resource for newer members to join in on the Clan story without missing a beat.

His efforts provided a tangible benefit to not only the Clan summit but the members as well. For his work I present Skar with an Anteian Cross

After Skar's last recognition two years ago he continued his leadership as Aedile for five of those first months, pushing the house forward in Enmity. 21 competitions later 16 of them were in GJWXV Ascension, slamming all 9 bins, earning a Silver Nova in RO, and helping to secure Arcona’s 1st place win. He also participated in 10 gaming activities earning a pendant of blood and 123 Clusters of Earth, 4 Graphite, and 31 Ice for 5 fictions for a total of 12849 words. Last but not least he has brought home the bacon by filling the clan’s coffers with 109,840 credits. For his leadership efforts and continued activity within the club we are proud to present this merit award!

Battleteam Leader: Dajorrran Marshals

When I was offered my first chance at leadership in Arcona, as Spectre Cell’s BTL, Skar was the one to welcome me in through the door, in his function as Galeres’ aedile at that time. He was a familiar face to me by that point, but in my time as his subordinate I learned no shortage of lessons from his example. He was constantly present, a welcome voice in any discussion over Galeres’ continued direction, and an attentive guide in the formulation of our house fictions. Moreover, he was devoted to our member base, shaping our direction and our story in a manner that would ensure that it was familiar to older members while still being accessible to the new. Without Skar, Galeres as it currently exists would be quite different; certainly worse off. I can personally attest that I would not be the leader that I am today if it weren't for his persistent advice, on both the club and the path that I have chosen to take in life.

A devoted member and friend, Skar deserves this award more than can be plainly stated. Congratulations, and go get ‘em you crusty damned cyborg!
