Anytime you get a new member joining your unit, there's a sense of excitement - what will this person bring to the table? What skills and expertise do they have that could help benefit us? Rarely, however, do I get this excited about seeing what someone new to Tarentum can accomplish as I am with Kaiburr. Kaiburr has a servant's heart and mind, constantly asking what he can do to help and even coming up, unbidden, with ideas and projects on his own.

One of them was the idea - which seems so obvious in hindsight that I'm embarrassed as a leader I didn't think of it myself - to put together a survey for our membership to take about their likes and interests, their strengths and level of comfort in various areas (the Wiki, the SA, gaming, fiction), and other assorted useful items. He mentioned it, I think in passing, to me and the next day he had put one together; I'm not sure he had ever used Google Forms before, but he figured it out just to do this. We put it out for our members earlier today, and I'm already gleaning useful information from it, none of which I would have if Kaiburr hadn't taken it upon himself to get it done. From a grateful Summit, Kaiburr, please accept this Dark Cross; I have a feeling this is the first of many recommendations I'll be writing for your incredibly helpful work for Tarentum.

Kaiburr continues to impress me and deserves kudos for his recent efforts on behalf of Clan Arcona. I've encouraged him to be unfiltered with his thoughts and ideas; he has fully embraced this invitation and become a diligent worker on behalf of Clan Arcona and House Galeres. Most recently, Kaiburr created four separate proposals (almost ten pages of content) for me. These 'Champion' proposals were designed to stimulate society specific activity within the clan. He took up the banner, creating the competitions (time table, scoring, activities, lore, filler text, etc) far more thought out and detailed than I had anticipated. Furthermore, his focus on 'behavior' or the 'activity' itself will generate a plethora of activity (PVP, PVE, ACC, ACB, SA, etc) across different societies throughout the year; rewarding members whom focus on the completion, or consumption, of activities versus the final three winners of an event.

He spent a ton of hours working through the details, exchanging countless e-mails with House, then Clan, leaders to get approval. He also learned the value of listening and adapting to feedback throughout the proposal. He has not been green lit to proceed with these competitions, but his diligence and preparation should not be ignored or unrewarded. For his exceptional effort to start, edit, and finish this project... Donny & I award him a Dark Cross.

Tamashi was given the task of looking through the entire Feats Database (C-Dawg) and identified Feats that were not properly categorized. This involved manually reading each Feat in the database line by line, and highlighting the changes in a spreadsheet. This has been invaluable to the Character Sheet development team as it makes sure that Feats are properly categorized as Skill or Force Power feats, thus leading to less confusion.

For his efforts in aiding the Combat Master with this task, I am happy to award Tamashi with a Dark Cross. Thanks for the hard work, Tamashi.

Recently, we undertook a project to revamp the entire House Galeres Wiki Page. The previous page was outdated, did not provide clear or actionable information, and often mislead the members of the House more so than it provided them direction. We attempted to first edit the existing information, but soon found that the House, Clan, and Brotherhood had simply grown - and changed - too much for simple edits. The final project required a complete rebuild of the page. It required several individuals gathered via e-mail (over 50!) to share ideas and build an outline, it required several more days of writing & editing the new page (3 drafts!), before the labor intensive process of coding the Wiki Page with images, links, and proper formatting. We wanted to personally thank everyone involved in making this a superb, top-notch completed project with recognition of a Dark Cross.
