There's something wrong with the world today. I can't always put my finger on exactly what it is, but in the end, I know when something is wrong, and thankfully, I know exactly what it is that has me out of sorts right now.

I forgot to do something when Zoron resigned from Quaestor.

Now, normally I'm a pretty on the ball guy, something happens and I address it immediately. But I didn't in Zoron's case, because I was disappointed he had to resign. We all know how real life can make demands of our time, and we all know that it has to come first in comparison to the Brotherhood.. but that still didn't make me feel any better about his going, and because of that disappointment, I think I ignored my responsibilities to him.

The reason I was disappointed so badly when he left was pretty integral to my plans for the future of Taldryan. Like a doting mother I had his whole career path mapped out for him in my head, and because of that I spent a lot of time talking with him, and having him involved in every level of the Clan summit. His advice and insight became lynchpins of Taldryan's leadership, and I knew immediately that when he resigned, we'd all be worse off for it.

But that doesn't change any of the facts. During the past four months, Zoron has served with distinction as Quaestor of Ektrosis for three months, where he not only helped me plan the infant stages of Taldryan's current major competition, but also acted as a sounding board for me on any number of issues that faced the Clan. He helped guide the policies we're going to try to enact, and he's played a big part in guiding our path forward as a Clan. He did all this while still maintaining a great personal activity record, and hosting a goodly amount of competitions for both the Clan and the Brotherhood as a whole with his popular Sporcle series of events.

He did all these things while still being the leader of Taldryan's most active House, and while being one of Taldryan's most active members. As a Clan we preach that the foundation of leadership is one's own personal activity, and Zoron was a great champion of that ideal.

As such, it is my very great honour to award Kenath Zoron a Grand Cross of the Dark Side.

Taldryan has gone through a fairly rough time when it comes to outstanding participation from its clan members, which in turn has led to a failure on our part as leaders of the clan to recognize when someone has slipped through the cracks. I share in this blame as it has taken me this long to award Kenath Zoron as one such member. Since last being awarded by the Taldryan clan Summit Zoron has shown himself to be the type of member this clan needs. He has earned 37 crescents from participating in 93 competitions.

Aside from competition awards, Zoron has earned himself 8 PoB’s, 494 CoF’s, 110 CoE’s, and 1 CI’s. He has been awarded 2 Scrolls of Indoctrination for his services in recruitment. Zoron has completed 10 courses, earning 1 degree, and he had positions as both a member of the appeals panel and a Magistrate to the Grand Master. His loyalty to his clan earned him a placement as Proconsul, unfortunately troubles from Real Life took his time that he could dedicate to the clan away, and he stepped down from his position.

All these awards are important yes, but to me, the reason I am happy to award Kenath Zoron is the fact that he has been like a mentor to me during my tenure as both Aedile and Quaestor. If not for his help and example I may not have been sure of myself enough to have applied for the post of Consul. Zoron was monumental in getting “Breaking Point”, the Clan Taldryan event that has pushed our Clan forward, off of its feet.

I am very proud to award Kenath Zoron a Grand Cross for all he has done and accomplished!. Congratulations Zoron, and Thank you.

It is my pleasure to recommend that Kenath Zoron be awarded a Grand Cross for his excellent activity throughout this last year. He has racked up an impressive 49 competitions without containers (60 with containers). These were scattered throughout a variety of events from graphics, gaming, brackets, and miscellaneous events. Of note, several of these were in direct support to COU's RoS efforts, placing 4th in the Phase III puzzle and sixth in the Cantina quiz. During this period, he was awarded 2 diamond crescents, 6 ruby crescents, 10 amethyst crescents, and 3 sapphire crescents. He also racked up 2 CFs, 28 CEs and 4 CGs. As for his Shadow Academy work, he passed 1 SA course. These efforts in support of COU are greatly appreciated.

For all the above, I am proud to award Zoron a Grand Cross. It is most deserving. Well done and congratz!! Free sushi for you!
