Ranarr is a muscular Cathar, covered in light-brown fur. He has thick copper manes, nearly covering his shoulders. Rising up between those manes are two big, pointy ears of which the right one has a triangular rupture from battle. Ranarr keeps his slightly paler beard neatly together in a short tail. His eyes are glazed and his face is unreadable.
Ranarr Kul does not charge a high price because he has to pay for a life of luxury; he charges a high price because he knows that he is the best in the game and worth the credits. Those who do not know Ranarr Kul will feel he is gouging them, but those who have seen him in action know that he always delivers. This bravado follows Ranarr Kul around and builds on the success of completed jobs and can be off-putting to other Mercenaries that will try and lash back by pointing out his failures.
Ranarr Kul grew up never knowing his family. He was sold into slavery very young, and was put to work almost immediately. However, due to his age, Ranarr Kul bounced from owner to owner until he became a teenager. Having to endure horrible treatment during this time in his life, Ranarr Kul has lingering trust issues while carrying an absolute hatred toward slavers. If confronted with acts of slavery, he will most likely lash out in some way, regardless of it compromises his objective.
Despite his line of work, Ranarr Kul still sees himself as a refined gentleman and will often put on a show of being haughty and arrogant to those he does not know. Ranarr Kul only lets the mask slip to show his more laid back nature to those he trusts. To those he dislikes, he will actually become even more insufferable as taunts and quips without any regard for who or what he might be offending.
Ranarr Kul is a lateral thinker, and when he encounters problems or dilemmas, he is very good at improvising and coming up with alternative solutions. This allows Ranarr Kul to find ways out of situations others might give up on. While these solutions are often not so obvious to others, Ranarr Kul can typically explain and lead others through his plan...as long as they are patient and willing enough to trust him outside thinking.
Ranarr Kul doesn't like to kill people; instead he chooses to injure his opponent until that person is unable to fight back or is otherwise incapacitated.
Ranarr Kul possesses a single minded drive for victory, and a deep-seated martyr complex. When presented with a chance to wade into battle versus overwhelming odds, Ranarr Kul does not hesitate, and instead rushes in, relying on skill, fate or chance to let him survive.
