Due to RL constraints, Consul Sarin and Aedile Raken were unable to add their recommendations, but have stated that they support this medal

DS is a great man and time and time again he proved it as HSK's AED and QUA striving to raise the bar for the house, working close with his House not just the AED or RM but everyone. He continued to push activity in slow times and always found something fun and creative for us to do and enjoy. He has not received any kind of award since he stepped down as QUA just months ago and still continues to help us on a day to day basis and I can not see this man do this without being noticed for his hard work. If anyone deserves this Grand Cross it is DS. Congrats DS and keep up the great work!

HSK/QUA OP Silent

*****

Since DS stepped down before I became PCON, I never got to actually know him, but from what I saw during my time as HEK's QUA and AED he was a great leader that got things done. He did some great things for Satal Keto concerning the overall structure and the website, but I'm afraid I can't go into super detail since I wasn't in the house to see it all unfold. He's a very active member that really works to help the house and clan, and I enjoy having him as a member in Clan Plagueis. Congrats on your award, DS! ~ PCON Aabs

Seraphol Ceartas is a fine example of a hands-on leader and a shining gem within our House. During the third round of the Fading Light Vendetta, he was our main cheerleader, helping and encouraging the members of our House from the front lines of battle, where he participated in 4 of 5 events and earnt an impressive 366 Clusters of Fire for this major competition. His efforts, participation, leadership and encouragement over email and IRC were a tremendous asset to our House during this Vendetta.

Since his last award, he has earnt a Seal of Loyalty for his services, and a staggering total of 1559 Clusters of Fire (which includes the aforementioned 366), along with 4 Pendants of Blood, a Legion of the Scholar, a Cluster of Ice and a Ruby Crescent. He has also participated in nine general competitions.

As a leader, since taking over the Knights of Allusis in September he has been constantly communicating with his team and the rest of the Summit and has been developing Shorurra as his Sergeant. He has come up with a number of ideas and been an integral voice in the future direction of his team, motivating and engaging senior and junior members of the team to be active again, to become the tip of the spear in our campaigns to stop the Dark Side from taking over the galaxy.

He was also one of two judges for the House-wide event, Affliction, back in September, jumping in at the last minute when the competition organizer was called away to higher duties, judging ten events during the competition.

For all of this, I wish to nominate Seraphol for a Grand Cross, and I look forward to continuing to work with such an excellent member.

Seraphol Ceartas is our soldier in the Light. An old stalwart, he has always been here when his House needed him, since his arrival in Odan-Urr. One of the few members who can truly embody a crusader for the Light Side in his stories, he goes a step further in reality by being a general to his troops and a guiding light for subordinate and superior alike. When I am stressed out, Seraphol is there to lend an ear; when a Leader has a problem, he has a solution. Above all, when an argument breaks out, he not only mediates it - but he does so by coming down on the side that is right, taking no bull, and yet somehow still putting out the fires through his blunt honesty.

He is a member that deserves reward, and not just for the reasons above.

During Fading Light, Seraphol has been a driving force for our members. He has taken command of Knights of Allusis, our Vendetta Team, and has been molding them into our primary strikers and headhunters in club-wide events. No one goes into Knights of Allusis alone, or without support; no one leaves without a killing edge, or a damned good reason. Members like Seraphol do more than sustain this House. Members like Seraphol step up in big events, fill holes in the roster, and sharpen the skills and resolve of all those around them.

Members like Seraphol are why I believe in a Light Path, in Jedi Orders, and in the legitimate possibility of a Light Side Clan. If we had a handful of extra Seraphols, we'd be First Clan already. The guy deserves a huge reward; for now, we reward his service and dedication in Fading Light 3, and beyond. There is a reason I chose him for a Seal of Loyalty; and that same reason, alongside the work he has done since, validates a Grand Cross. Let this recommendation speak to his character as a member of our Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

Well done, my friend. You deserve this, and much, much more.

Seraphol, Daniel Stephens, “DS”, all names for the same leader whose length of service and undeniable presence in Odan-Urr and the larger Brotherhood community are legend. Seraphol has served with distinction on the Clan summit for a total of nearly eight months first as the founding Quaestor of House Hoth and then briefly stepping up as the Clan Rollmaster before stepping down to tend to real life. In addition to his tremendous labors founding House Hoth, which others will detail, and mentoring younger summit member, Seraphol produced nineteen competitions himself.

He is not the type of leader to sit idly on the sidelines, he jumps into the trenches, rushes toward the sound of the guns and leads from the front. Since his last promotion he has participated in sixty one competitions earning nine Crescents and fifteen Clusters of Ice. Seraphol’s true realm of activity is in the world of gaming where during that same time period he participated in an astounding 287 multiplayer activities accumulating nine Pendants of Blood, 1630 Clusters of Fire, 635 Clusters of Earth and placing ninth in the entire Brotherhood for the 4th Quarter 2015 GMRG rankings. Beyond his personal numbers he cheered Odan-Urr’s gamers on from the sides during the very heated 4th Quarter GMRG cluster race.

It’s been an honor to serve on the Odan-Urr summit with you my friend, please accept this token of our gratitude for your tremendous service to the Clan.

Additional reasons

Through his tenure as the first Quaestor and founder of House Hoth, Seraphol (aka Daniel Stephens) has maintained a presence on the front lines while cultivating a close relationship with his members and summit. In doing so, he bore the challenge of building a full-fledged House from the ground-up, leaving behind a solid foundation for the next to take on the mantle. Having seen the amount of planning involved after the creation of House Odan-Urr to cement its position as the Brotherhood’s now most unique and fleshed-out Clan, I am well aware of the amount of labour that goes into such a task. Burnout is almost certain in these situations, most feel the need of a well-deserved rest or others might buckle under the pressure. For almost eight months, it seemed a miracle to see him thriving under the workload; to us, that’s just Seraphol.

His vision created what we now know as Fort Pernicar—the homestead of House Hoth, created with the aid of his members. Of 19 individual competitions he organized himself, a fair number of them were directed at building Fort Pernicar’s lore. His contributions to building Hoth’s fictional premise can be attested to through the 15 Clusters of Ice he has gathered—a number of which were for works which served to fill in a blank slate.

It is his abilities on the field that make him a good leader, but a better member. In 61 individual competitions, he has amassed 9 crescents. However, this is pennies when compared to the 1630 Clusters of Fire, 635 Clusters of Earth and 9 Pendants of Blood that earned him 9th place overall in the GMRG’s 4th Quarter. Moreover, he went on to assist others to reach greater heights as members all the while being a shining example himself. His mentorship of Juna to the rank of Jedi Knight earned him his most important award for this recommendation: a Scroll of the Master.

Congratulations and well deserved!

The cast of SNL used to call Phil Hartman "the glue" because of his ability to hold both the cast and individual sketches together. That's basically how I view Takota/Seraphol. He goes where he's needed, he does what needs doing, and then he moves along when someone else is ready to step up. Since his last recognition, that service has involved two months as Satele Shan's AED and 38 days as the BTL of the Knights of Allusis and their successor unit, the Wildcards. Both as a leader and as a regular member, he's organized 12 competitions and co-organized another. He recently received a Scroll of the Master for mentoring his friend Ethan Martes to the rank of Jedi Knight.

That said, in COU we try to embody the lead from the front principle, and hold that leadership is not limited to a position. Sera has been an inspiration to younger members (which is all of them) through his consistent activity across a broad range of platforms. He has participated in 81 competitions, plus an additional 12 container comps. He has taken home 24 crescents, including 1 with a ruby star. 8 of these competitions and 2 of the crescents were from participation in the recent COU/TAL event. As you would expect of a long-term PROF, Seraphol has passed 6 courses and earned himself 2 degrees. He has also earned 99 Clusters of Fire and a whopping 535 Clusters of Earth. Beyond gaming, Sera's also earned 3 Clusters of Ice and 3 of Graphite. Lastly, he's taken home 2 Legions of the Scholar.

Sera, thanks for everything you do. Never change, you old coot.

Since Takota or as I know him better Seraphol has only returned to Hoth just a little over a month ago and since others will talk about his numbers. I will focus on the way he has been a guiding force within House Hoth.

When we decided to close the House's original battleteam and create a new one Takota's application, vision and plan was the best one that represented the full vision of Celevon and my long term vision for the team and the house. Since being appointed as the new BTL he has hit the ground running by polling the members for ideas on what the team should be, what it will be called and more importantly it's overall focus and direction. So, for someone that is normally very surly, strongly opinionated and having the potential to go full Seraphol (which is to irrationally argue a point with the deep hot passion of twins suns and for no good reason) on people. It's amazing to see how much dedication he is showing to this new team and all of the members of the house.

So congratulations my dear friend, you more than earn this small token!

Edgar Drachen, Quaestor of House Hoth

Takoda or as most know him Seraphol has been one of my mentors and a good friend.

When Archenksova was promoted to Quastor, I was still Battle Team Leader and not ready to become Aedile. Seraphol stood up and took the number two spot in the House, even though he was looking forward to settling in for "retirement" from leadership. He took me under his wing and not only began helping me with tips and tricks for Battle Team Leader, but also preparing me for the day I became Aedile.

I have also been lucky enough to game and participate in run-ons with Seraphol. He is a a very active member of the Clan Telegram channel and just recently had another student reach Knighthood. Seraphol has was and has also been an active member of the House Summit and Clan Title Holder.

It is my honor to recommend Seraphol/Takoda for a Grand Cross. Congratulations Sera!
