Tall and imposing, like most of his kind, Grot towers over other sapients. His scales are dark brown and mottled with green, covered with numerous ugly scars. Most are displayed prominently, even pierced and decorated with tally markers and small totems. His lips curl backwards into a sneer, revealing rows of grizzly sharpened teeth and highlighting the savage bone piercing running through his septum. A row of blunt ridges runs across his skull like miniature horns. His bright orange eyes shine with a steely gaze.

Superstition (General Aspect)

Grot comes from a very primitive and superstitious segment of Trandoshan society and piously maintains their traditions and beliefs. He worships the Scorekeeper like others of his species, but also maintains an animistic belief that the world is populated by a multitude of spirits and other entities. He sees these entities everywhere in the world around him and is likely to attribute events, good or bad, to their interference. He carries a eclectic multitude of totems and charms, each with their own peculiar meaning and purpose. His strange behaviours and rituals can be off-putting to some, but others may find his piety and sense of spirituality admirable.

Scaly and Proud (General Aspect)

Grot has never quite assimilated into the wider galaxy. He retains his species traditions with a fierce pride and disdains the bland and human-centric culture of society at large, holding his native ways as vastly more sophisticated. In disdain he often refers to non-reptilians as "warm-bloods" of "soft-skins", deriding them for their decadent ways. Because of this his speech, expressions, and behavior can be very off-putting. His basic is thickly accented, and littered with alien metaphors and references. In times of stress he might even slip back into his native tongue without realizing. The concept of a smile is more a threat-gesture than anything, and his face in general has a very limited range of expression. Emotions are communicated more by posture, tone of voice, and hissing. Most unfamiliar with this behaviour find it off-putting and alien, making it difficult to form a connection with Grot.

Empire of Dirt (Personality Aspect)

Grot has spent his entire life as a cold-blooded killer, chasing the thrill of the hunt. Looking back years later, he feels a profound sense of emptiness at the thought of the destruction he has created and the lives he has destroyed. He now struggles to balance his past love of violence and hunting against this newfound guilt, and searches for something precious in the world to call his own and leave as a legacy. This conflict may cause him to hesitate at crucial moments, or fight all the harder if he finds something worth fighting for.

Straight Shooter (Personality Aspect)

Grot tells it like he sees it, when he thinks it; and he doesn't try to sugar coat what he says.

The Thrill of the Hunt (Combat Aspect)

Grot will pursue his enemy with the single-minded focus of a hunter, chasing them down with an almost monomaniacal desire for blood and slaughter. To Grot the hunt is an ecstatic, almost religious, experience and he relishes combating strong foes and tracking down powerful prey. Very little will deter him from a battle once he's set upon it, and almost nothing will convince him to let allow his foe to flee if he has the upper hand. Because of this Grot will continue to fight long after more practical people might have given up an encounter as hopeless, or would have cut their losses and regrouped. This persistence is as much a benefit as a detriment as it has often allowed Grot to pull out a victory where others might have simply quit, but he often ends up overextending himself of paying far too dearly for a comparatively minor benefit.

Big Game Hunter (Combat Aspect)

Grot has made a living hunting creatures of monstrous size and power and approaches combat with the patience of a veteran hunter. He will remain at range if at all possible, utilizing his powerful array of slugthrowers to pick off and injure foes at a distance and setting ambushes to take them down before battle is even joined. He's ruthless and without scruples, and will endeavor to take out the weakest and most injured members of a group first before combating the leaders. Often times he'll intentionally avoid shooting the head, or damaging other prominent features like horns or lekku in a bid to take them as a trophy after combat. These behaviors can make him interminably frustrating to more melee focused combatants, as he will refuse to join in a close range fight if at all possible. However, if a foe can manage to close the distance they will often find him unprepared and uncommitted to a more traditional close-up fight.
