Character Snapshot (Battlemaster Karran Val'teo)
Warrior Karran Val'teo
Karran Val'teo is a Zabrak Male with a strong build, earned through surviving in harsh conditions. His broad shoulders taper down to his waist, forming a V-shaped torso. His bald head is crowned with thirteen bony horns, each about four inches long. His brown eyes sit below them with a dark, burning gaze.
His light tan skin is decorated with scrolling black lines that spread from the center of his chest, branching across his left pectoral muscle, wrapping around his left shoulder, and twisting down his left arm, stopping at the elbow. The right side seems markedly bare, as if the mosaic of ink is unfinished, except for a rendition of a Krayt Dragon, and a small ghost on the back of his hand, and the depiction of a lotus on his right pectoral. The sockets around his eyes are outlined in black ink, that crowns up to form 3 points above each eye that get taller as they spread out from the bridge of his nose. From the corners of his eyes a heavy line follows his jawline down to his chin where a short vertical line goes up and ends just below his bottom lip.
If one were to strip Karran down to what he was given at birth, they would find a variety of scars. Two old scars sit on his cheeks, two that make a cross on his left, and the other horizontal on his right. A deep, somewhat knotted scar is on his left outer thigh (courtesy of Sera Kaern). On the back of his right thigh is the remnants of a stab wound from a lightsaber (courtesy of Alaisy Tir'eivra). There is a single vertical scar that goes directly up his back from a lightsaber strike that had mercifully not damaged his spine. This scar was allowed to heal naturally, as opposed to using advanced medical techniques, resulting in a thick, knotted mark that serves as a reminder (Courtesy of Marick Tyris). A series of three faint slash marks across his left bicep, that only slightly mar the tattoos there. The ring finger of his left hand is missing. Standard Issue
Ken is subjected to frequent memory wipes, and has little to nothing in the way of personality. It acts according to its basic programming in an efficient and impersonal manner.
Increased Agility
Ken has been given additional programming that allows it to execute its programs at a faster rate, allowing the droid to react more quickly than a stock IG-100 MagnaGuard in execution of its duties. These extra lines of code run on all programs, and slows the ability for the droid to arrive at answers to complex inquiries.
Reinforced Plating
Ken has been modified from standard design parameters to be fitted with reinforced plating. As a result, when compared side by side with the standard IG-100 MagnaGuard, Ken is found to be more durable while its ability to move has been inhibited.
Marks of the Master
Ken is all chrome, with the exception of around his eyes. The area around its ocular receptors is painted black with three points that ascend in height from the center. Ken has also had small durasteel spikes welded to its head to simulate the crown of horns of a Zabrak.

The Technocratic Electro-staff is a custom-designed version of the pole-like electro-staff weapon. The shaft is custom constructed from dallorian alloy, making it more resistant to heat than a standard electro-staff. While it retains its strength, still able to block bladed and blunt weapons, the heat resistance allows for more powerful electrically charged tips on either end of the staff that in addition to still holding up against strikes from a lightsaber inflict a far deadlier strike to anything they contact. It has removed its stun setting, capable only of inflicting deadly discharges that can stop a sentient's heart after three full seconds of contact. It is carried by the cyborg shocktroopers in the Technocratic Guild as part of their advanced arsenal against Force users.
Hollow Core
Technocratic Electro-staff has had as much material as possible removed from its basic structure, in an attempt to make this Technocratic Electro-staff as light as possible while still useful in combat. This makes it far easier for Karran Val'teo to wield, but at an offsetting reduction in force on impact.
Electromagnetic Pulse Generator
The handle of this weapon is equipped with a generator that sends constant electromagnetic pulses to the weapon's striking surface during use. While active, the striking surface of [this item] can parry lightsaber blades; however, the rest of the weapon is vulnerable to a lightsaber's plasma blade.

These black robes are minimalist, covering only what needs to be, leaving arms and most of his torso uncovered. They are comfortable and simple.

The Nightsister Talisman is a large Kyber Crystal Accessory used by the Nightsisters to channel their Magick. It has been etched and cut into a specific shape by its owner. This talisman is large enough to fill the palm of a human-sized hand.
Dragon Skin
This Dark Gift appears to be made of overlapping black metal bands that cover the wearer's arm from wrist to elbow. It seems to have grown naturally, forming a dragon-like scale pattern. The red Kyber crystal from Dark Gift is set into the lowest band near the wrist. It emits a soft crimson glow that intensifies when Karran Val'teo's emotions are picqued.
Karran Val'teo feels burning rage deep inside him, but knows what unchecked passian can do. Therefore, rage, while a valuable tool, should not be tapped into lightly. He is sometimes consumed by guilt when he unnecessarily channels this power, and may withdraw from the people he cares about so as to not expose them to the beast he keeps caged up inside him.
Karran Val'teo spent most of his adult life without a family. Subconsciously, this has turned him into a chronic caretaker. Every opportunity he gets, he invites someone who needs a place to stay into his home. On several occasions, he has built extensions and additions onto his home just to accommodate his guests. These gestures do not end with sentients, however. It is not uncommon for Karran Val'teo to adopt animals that others will not, just so that they might have a chance at a happy home. While this generosity does bring many people together, it does leave him open to being taken advantage of.
Karran Val'teo has fought with almost everyone he considers a friend. And each of them has left their mark. There's no hard feelings, besides, what's some bloody knuckles and internal bruising between friends? However, this aggressive nature can be off-putting to some less aggressive acquaintances.
Karran Val'teo has a legendary and virulent need for vengeance. Once crossed, he will make it his life’s work to ensure that whatever slight was received is repaid tenfold. This need for vengeance can be all-consuming, and can often lead to short-sighted decisions.
Karran Val'teo has fallen victim to so many cheap shots that even when facing a more honorable opponent, he is still prepared for them. He is very mindful of an enemy's footwork, because you never know when one of those feet will swing up to deliver a swift kick in the groin. This leads him to be more prepared for cheap tactics, but tends to distract him from other aspects of the fight.
Karran Val'teo's dedication to incorporating various aspects of his Zabraki heritage into his life have even extended itself into his combat with a lightsaber. Although the Djem So lightsaber form typically requires a solid stance in order to deliver its powerful, dominating blows, Karran Val'teo has taken to incorporating the fluid movement of K'thri and sweeping kicks into his attacks in a duel. While this sacrifice in footing does add a degree of randomness to his attacks, making them harder to predict, it does decrease the power of his strikes with his weapon.
