I could go on and on for ages in a recommendation of Anshar, but I won’t Anshar excels at what he does.
The description of the Ruby Scepter says the following: Achievement and/or contributions in the area of instruction, invention, and mentorship to one's Clan or Order.

Anshar has gone over and beyond this. He has almost single handedly revived the Envoys and turned them into a well-oiled machine. This in turn has greatly aided the Brotherhoods retention rates as well as the pure numbers of members that join. In his duties as P:HM Anshar has done more then anyone I can think of in the instruction of members. While maintaining the highest degrees of activity in furthering the membership as KCB and P:HM, he is also the CON of Tarentum and formerly PCON of the same Clan. In doing all of this Anshar has not only invented new ways for the Brotherhood to do things but he has excelled at Instruction, Invention and Mentorship.

It is with the full power of my office and my eternal thanks that I extend this award to Anshar on behalf of the entire Brotherhood.

-- His most Gracious Lordship, Spears the Vicious, Knight First Class Headmaster of the Shadow Academy Right Hand of Justice Master Architect for the Brotherhood Thrice Marked of the Wanderer Baron Ale Pond: Keeper of the Estadian Expanse

Praetor to the Headmaster. Proconsul. Consul. Headmaster. Stepped down from Headmaster to lead his clan again, as Consul. More than 10 years in the Brotherhood.

Below is a list compiled by members of Tarentum, which I fullheartedly support. Anshar left his position as Headmaster when Bloodfyre stepped down as Consul, because there was no-one to replace him. That is not a decision to be made lightly, but Anshar did it. Since then, he did his best to keep the clan running to the best of his abilities, and I applaud him for that. He kept the clan running when there was no other way to do it, which is something I admire. He deserves some recognition. Korras, Master at Arms. Some of Anshar’s achievements: -Anshar has provided two years of administrative leadership for Clan Tarentum. -He has run many exciting and wonderfully written storyarcs over the years: -Settling Home for which there were many competitions and an RO. -To the Core for which there were also comps and an RO. -Of the Past also many competitions and an RO. -Broken which had many gaming competitions and an RO. -He has spent time working with the clan’s newer members to get them up to speed and integrated into the clan. -He has revamped the Clan’s fiction while making sure not to exclude other clan members. Said fiction includes: -Physical geography of the Yridia System. -Clan powers. -Clan system of aristocracy and land grants. -Clan military. -Although Tarentum lost the GJW any event in which Anshar participated we scored highly, particularly our RO. Due to his leadership the war was an enjoyable and rewarding experience for those who chose to participate. -He used the clan forums and IRC to effectively and continually keep in contact with the members of his clan as well as utilize their input in the day to day administration of Tarentum.

Adien: Anshar has been an inspiration to both Tarentum and the DB as a whole! He is been a example to me since my joining the DB as well as everyone in this club that has also been influenced by him. He excels at keeping members going and is there to help whenever possible. His work on the Obsidian blade completion was astonishing He will be sorely missed as Consul of Tarentum, and I am grateful to have met such an outstanding person and hope he is around for a long time to come, Thank You Anshar! Adien d’Tana

Ronovi: Working with Anshar has been a very refreshing experience. Too often do we hear of leaders who will ignore others' advice and contributions, instead choosing to inflate his own ego and parade his ideas as better than anyone else's. These leaders are notorious for their arrogance, stubbornness, and unwillingness to work as a manager type rather than a dictator type - which is the worst kind of leader to work with, or more accurately, attempt to work with. Not only is Anshar a leader who can take advice, but he also knows when and how to use it, making Tarentum a more interactive and involving clan.

Appointed Consul in 2007, Anshar took on the position as a favor from Sarin, stepping down as Headmaster in order to help out a clan that was in need of a strong, charismatic leader. Almost two years later, he has proven that his decision was not in vain. He has been able to rejuvenate the clan in terms of RO writing, which was a weakness of the clan as many ROs were often left unfinished and were subsequently scrapped. His outlining of storylines has helped the clan greatly in achieving a direction in its fiction and its motives, and as such, more members have become more involved in Tarentum's activities which has helped greatly in making the clan less of a "retirement home." Anshar, subsequently, knows how to properly recognize and reward people - he is not stingy with offering gratitude, though like me and others, he is a strong believer that medals are not everything. His emphasis on hard work to ascend in the Brotherhood, not favoritism or nepotism, has forced people to get their heads in the game, which is always good.

For a guy who first took on the job as a favor, Anshar has left a lasting impression on the clan. Despite its poor performance in the ninth GJW, he pressed on, even taking some of the blame for our standings. He may be humble, but Anshar is a natural-born leader and a hard worker. His contributions to three major clan-wide competitions and to the recent GJW have added much to the clan's structure and fiction, and he readily accepts advice from other leaders such as myself. He has held the position much longer than any of us ever imagined, and, like any good leader, he knew when he had to step down. As he continues his work as Praetor to the MAA and as a member of Tarentum, I can only thank him for all his work. He has helped me personally as well as others to become strong leaders, and in short, he has proven to be one of the best mentors and contributors that the Brotherhood has to offer. I truly feel that he deserves this award for his years of dedication. Thanks, Anshar. We owe you one.

Frosty: Anshar is a great guy and I'd love to see him get some rewards but I've only been recently made QUA and it was at that time that Anshar's home state got flooded and he's life started to get busy. So I can't think I can add something to what has already been written from a Quaestor point of view, all I can do is write from a member of Tarentum's position.

Starting with GJW... Yeah, we failed at that one but I don't think it was Anshar's fault, he was constantly active as a leader and he pushed as much as he could but you can't mold anything if the clay is bad. I myself tried to compete in as many gaming competition I could possibly participate in, but I as I discovered with each GJW, the efforts that are put in this kind of vendettas grow more and more and it's insane if you think about it. Some people can't be around 24/7 to game for a fictional club, and maybe that's what happening in Tarentum. Anshar's creed was always about real life coming first and more then pushing us like slaves he cultivated a friendly atmosphere, you know that atmosphere that no other clan has it. I think our members would rather be in the Ale Pond than fighting for Sarin or Muz. Sorry Muz, sorry insane score points, sorry pompous awards and titles, I'll stick to my Anshar.

Anshar buddy you are one of those Consuls that remain in my mind, a real Emeritus Consul an Elder of the clan. And on that list I only have Bloodfyre, Spears and you. If you think about it, so few people remember BF for taking second place in the GJW with Tarentum and so many remember him for being such a nice and helpful guy. If you could get a Cluster of Fire for every time you helped the clan I'm sure you'll beat my numbers of CFs by far. Thank you for all your hard work, Anshar!

Severon: Anshar has always been the most helpful person he can be. When members needed direction, he gave it to them. When they needed help, he took the time to help them. He did this not only during his time as Headmaster but especially during his time as Consul of Clan Tarentum. He devoted his time to the well-being of the Clan's members even when it wasn't convenient. He was a true Tarentae.

Anshar gave us guidance during the GJW. He motivated the Clan to work harder than it ever had. He also unified the Clan, turning it into an effective fighting force against the Jedi. When the war grew long and wearying, he pepped us up by going before us and taking the most of the war. He is strong and wise and loves his clan dearly.

I have only recently become the Rollmaster of House Gladius so this is a large step for me but serving under Anshar as only a regular member of the Clan was inspiring. When I needed him, he was always there to give me advice. If anyone deserves this award, it would have to be him. Thanks Anshar, for being a true friend and leader to all of us.

Raiju: For almost two full years, Anshar has been actively been involved in a long time volunteered committment to Tarentum that continued since his resignation from Headmaster. At that time, Anshar had been the Headmaster of the DB and was a great success for the DB in that role. However, the loyalty Anshar has for Tarentum convinced him to give up the position, which many in the DB hold as their career goal, and returned to Tarentum as Consul to replace the resignation of Sith Bloodfyre. I've spoken to Anshar many times regarding this, and when discussed Anshar always repeats the fact that the reason he took the position of Consul was because of the situation Tarentum was in. Hurting from a lack of skilled leadership and no replacements for Bloodfyre and coming from a 4th place positioning from the last GJW; Tarentum was in a state of hurt and Anshar believed it was his duty as a son of Tarentum to return to help change things around.

And change things he did. After Anshar took over as Consul of Tarentum for his second reign he was commited to two things: 1) Creating a strong, structured leadership that could take over from him and continue on building from inside the clan and 2) Preparing for the next GJW and making a better placing then last time. When it came to the first objective, Anshar was effective. Working with the Tarentae, Anshar was able to get a number of veteran members to step up and mentor the new membership and begin marking potential leader candidates. Having members like Oberst, Doni, Rekio, Telona, and Dranik all return and take an active part in the campaign, Anshar worked with these veterans for almost a year mentoring and developing the skills of the new generation of leaders to slowly take their places at the heads of each of the houses. After this time, the House all began to emerge with strong figureheads for each House with people like Scion, Apollo, Ronovi, Odin, and Elols. All from the campaigning, mentoring, and leadership of Anshar.

Following the development of new leaders for the clan, Anshar's shift was then towards preparing the Clan for the next GJW. While a last place ranking was the result of Tarentum's participation in the competition, it was far from a failure. While we didn't meet our goal, Anshar's preparations for the GJW still had an impact. Running two clan "wars" and specifically this included runons, Anshar helped many members perpare for the GJW by developing their skills and work. This resulted in many of the placings our members had throughout the various competitions and especially with the 3rd placing for our clan runon. Additionally, Anshar himself did very well in the GJW participating in 11 events, several times placing within the top 10, and continued his strong leadership by encouraging many to participate and motivating the summits to do so as well.

Anshar deserves this award more than most do who earn it, due to his dedication, leadership, activity, and scarifrice. As mentioned above, Anshar gave up something many wouldn't proving his loyalty and selflessness. He developed key aspects of Tarentum that impacted the successes our members had through the development of a solid leadership structure that help oversee all of the Tarenti for their skill development. Likewise, he didn't shell out the duty of participating like many leaders do and lead through both voice and example. For all this and whatever may have been missed, I believe Anshar deserves this as a thank you from all of the clan.

Kyra: Since taking over as Consul of Clan Tarentum, Anshar has been a constant presence and driving force in the Clan. He had dedicated his time to one strengthening the clan, two motivating members of Tarentum to be active, and three adding a significant amount of new fiction to the Clan's story. During the ninth Great Jedi War Anshar made a huge effort to get out weekly updates to the clan letting members know what was happening and where the clan was and what can be done to improve our standing. He also encouraged members, despite RL obligations for many, to do as much as they could to participate in the War even if it was only one or two activities.
Anshar gave Tarentum several major clan story competitions that featured multiple events, and the story arc "of the past" included a well written run-on by the clan leaders and many members of the clan. It was due in part to the hard-work and motivation inspired by our Consul, Anshar, which kept us writing, gaming, and competing. After the GJW he ran another clan competition featuring more parts that added significantly to Tarentum's history. Despite RL obligations and balancing his duties as P:MAA Anshar managed to add chapters to the "Broken" story, with the help of his summit. From personal experience, Anshar always replied to my queries and was there with help and advice, and gave Tarentum members opportunities to stay active and advance within the Clan. He also listened to the leaders and knew their input to the clan's fiction and overall success was paramount. A true leader in the DB and one that would be missed. Anshar moved the Clan forward and left a legacy that other leaders can aspire too, that said he deserves and has earned this award. It has been an honor to be under his leadership and guidance, and serve as a house leader in Clan Tarentum. Thank you Anshar for a job well done! Kyra Starfire

Vai: Rarely in the brotherhood do you find someone who gives their all for the good of the brotherhood. This level of devotion takes sacrifice of ones personal life to a level that notice must be made for it. Anshar, former Consul of Clan Tarentum, is one of these people who truely care about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. This level of dedication is noticed in which empowers growth which is crucial to an organization such as the DJB. From the day I signed up for the DJB I have been learning more about Anshar. His professionalism, his knowledge and his care for every member stands out. Looking at who I am now as a Knight, I can see the impression that Anshar has made show in what I do. Thank you Anshar, you were an outstanding Consul and thank you for continued devotion to the DJB.

Ji: Anshar has been the Consul of Tarentum since I joined the Brotherhood almost two years ago. In that time I’ve gotten to know him as a Consul and a friend and I don’t think anybody has done more for the clan in the last couple of years. From his devotion to the members of the clan to his exciting and very well written clan fiction my time under Anshar has been highly enjoyable, something I attribute directly to him and his hard work. However, in spite of all these things Anshar has done for Tarentum, I feel his greatest contribution is his encouragement of the clan’s entire membership (from our numerous Elders to the newest Journeyman) to participate in clan activities. Even as a Novice while participating in an RO Anshar helped me solidify my understanding of clan fiction and ensured that my participation was valued and utilized in the greater storyline. We could not have asked for a better Consul Anshar. You’ll be greatly missed.

Saitou: Although I am still a relative newcomer to Tarentum in the long run, I can honestly state that Anshar has been a pillar of the clan for the entire time I have been included among its membership. Anshar kept the fine balance that so many summit strive for when dealing with their fellow clansmen: order and respect. I'm not sad to see him step down as he deserves time away and a fine corps of summit are moving up to allow new ones to fill the lower echelon as it should be. A seemless transition without major crisis is the mark of a good leader. Thanks, Anshar.
