Service to the Shadow Academy. KAP Anshar Kahn has committed spectacular service to Krath Phase 2 grading. He is so reliable that I am beginning to expect a 12 hour maximum between course submission and a graded exam. ;) Additionally, Anshar Kahn was a large contributor of analysis and basic ideas to "Project: Dark Fury - Subsection: Assignment Protocol" His feedback is always prompt, and I would consider him the most dedicated Eclectic Pedagog in service to the Shadow Academy. Keep up the good work, and go above and beyond. Congratulations Archpriest. – Sith Warlord Pyralis

A teacher often overlooked because he does one of the three courses whose exam are not on the site, Anshar has done a great job in dealing with apprentices in this particular field. As this is a course that is often failed, dealing with the candidates and keeping them motivated to try a second time is a tough task indeed and Anshar again and again manages to get them to come back and ultimately graduate as full-fledged Krath. The move of this course from mandatory to optional has, if anything, increased its popularity and Anshar is to congratulate for this feat.

Anshar continues to be a source of strength, and competition to Gladius in his tenure as Quaestor. He's been valuable, not only as KCE, but aiding me in various project discussions, and keeping his House active. He also keeps the entire Clan active writing, with his run-on, "In The Shadows." He provides competitions regularly, and is generally one of the few people I've trusted with "my House," as I've come to think of Gladius.

Anshar has been there for the Great Jedi War when it mattered by far the most - in those last days when a large number of events needed grading and processing. And it was not just any event he graded but the over 500 pages of run-on that had to be read, evaluated and graded in just six days. Both in the initial grading and the later discussions, Anshar has proven to be on top of his game and it was a pleasure to see him deal so well with what was the most demanding grading job in the 6th GJW.

For this, I wish to thank you today in the form of this Steel Cross. Wear it with pride.
There's a few gigs in the Brotherhood that are downright challenging. Leading a troubled unit through a critical vendetta is one of the hardest. Anshar volunteered for it, knowing full well that at any point, the whole thing could come crashing down around his ears, and as the last Questor, history would not remember him with fondness.

That takes nerve.

Anshar went on an almost manic campaign to encourage the house. He brought back old members for their strength and skill. He pushed the new members to participate, to try new things. He pushed himself to exceptional levels, leading the house by example and by action. His back to the wall, he knew that the only way out was through all obstacles. Failure wasn't an acceptable outcome. And the work was going to be done, if he had to do it all himself.

Strength in action. Dogged persistence.

Thank you. --Muz Ashen, Dark Lord of the Sith

I asked Anshar for a list of his top contributors to their successes in the Horizons event and what they were awarded for their efforts. Everyone on the list had been awarded and recognized. All save one: Anshar himself. He told me he didn't need anything other than an active, happy unit.

This is a leader's answer.

Well, I checked the score sheet and as I expected Anshar led his House in not only participation, but total points scored as well.

These are a leader's actions.

Leaders take care of the mission and those under their care first. All else is secondary. This is what Anshar did without thought of recognition for himself. Well, it's our job to recognize all those who place others above themselves and quietly go about their business.

Anshar, let this Steel Cross remind others what you already know: Mission above all. Others before self.

Well done.

--Raken, Deputy Grand Master

For being the member with the most submission in Tarentum, and his leadership efforts during the RoS Horizon, Anshar deserves this recognition. Anshar did what he could during the event to keep his House motivated, and is hereby awarded the Steel Cross.

For Anshar, having a busy life doesn’t mean he disappears from the Brotherhood. It just means he’s not constantly around flapping his lips on Telegram like the rest of us. Yet, he still finds time to participate in events. He was able to submit to three events in GJW XII, but since his last Merit, he’s organized 16 events, participated in a total of 55, earned 103 medals with a Sapphire Blade high. He’s been a Shadow Academy Docent for a little over four years, as well as serving as a Magistrate to the Grand Master for nine months, and a Tarentum Team lead for seven months. And he still continues to compete in events little-by-little, racking up Crescents and Clusters, working in the Shadow Academy, and still faithfully giving time and energy to the Club and our Clan.

This is yet another token of esteem, and a marker of appreciation for his continued work and efforts. Congratulations, old friend.
