Primary reason: Since his last award, Vodo has been quite active both in full view and behind the scenes. He has participated in 27 competitions, earning himself 2 Crescents (1 Sapphire, & 1 Topaz). He has earned himself 72 Clusters of Fire across 7 Gaming activities. Additionally, he has elevated his rank across the various societies 3 times.

But it is in his writing, where Vodo stands out. He finished 3 ACC battles, for a total of over 6.000 words. He took part in 5 fiction activities and participated in one RP Session for another 2.004 words. His efforts have gathered him another 18 Clusters of Ice. Aside from this, Vodo is one of the driving forces behind Taldryan’s fictional development and one of the architects of the Clan’s storyline. As part of this, he has been integral in planning out currently ongoing events and aspects of events that will span the next year or longer.

Vodo, my friend, you’re an integral part of Taldryan. You form an integral part of what makes the Clan work as it does. Consider this Sapphire Blade to be a reflection of your efforts to bring enjoyment and comradery to us all. Congratulations and thank you for all you do!

Additional reasons: During my term as Consul, Vodo has been an invaluable friend and confidant. When it comes to fictional fronts, his contributions have been nothing but phenomenal as a member of our story group. The last few months, he has been at the forefront of discussing ideas around the Prelude storyline and events, concepts for Episode I and II, going as far as working to help us flesh them out for use, though most of the original Episode I details have been pushed off until next year for Episode II with the revisions we made to the overall arc after Ood's efforts.

With the revised Episode I, he created a large number of the fictional competition prompts for Episode I using the master event prompt for phase 1 as reference, and even released a stand-alone fictional competition ahead of the event to let people start getting their mental wheels spinning for this.

I am excited to keep this trend going in the future, as equals instead of Consul to story member, but as this will most likely be my last recc for a while, I wanted to take this point in time to say two key words that often are not said enough in the realm of those who work in the background.

Primary reason: Vodo is also a member that helps guide the leaders of Clan Taldryan. He's part of the Story group. Vodo, alongside with Jorm and Teebu, helped discussions in regards with Clan Taldryan's fleet and possessions.

He's a constant stable presence we can rely on. Every time we ping him with concerns or questions, his responses are quick. When we ask for help, he doesn't hesitation and dives into deeply to find more information to give us the answers we need.

I've seen him encourage members, especially on the writing part of the club. He helps me proof read and improve my writing.

Now the numbers!

He came in blazing for the war, earning himself 1 Gold Nova, 1 Silver Nova, and 1 Bronze Nova! One of each, that's the way to do it! He got himself 13 Seals of Animosity. Not only that, he brought home 2 Crescent with Amethyst Star, 1 Crescent with Sapphire Star, and 1 Crescent with Topaz Star! Keyboard goes brrt with 57 Cluster of Ice, writing pwns gaming as he got himself 19 Clusters of Fire and he sometimes doodle with 8 Clusters of Graphite.

Additional reasons: Vodo is one of the most important members of the Clan, a veteran Taldrya who is always lending his insight or knowledge to a topic. I know without a doubt if I have a question about something, whether it be Clan, Brotherhood, Star Wars, or even real world topics. He is an invaluable resource for that alone, but that doesn’t even consider his activity output. In GJW XVII he earned the Clan 529 points, almost ⅙ of our total and catapulting us to third place. He was our second highest points scorer!
