Primary reason

Since I began working with Dek as CON for CSP, he has been a remarkable team player in helping to plan and work towards bettering the clan. He has granted me advice and suggestions numerous times and has done his part to put plans into action. He worked with Ric and me in organizing the Scholae Rising Event, and also founded and became Quaestor of the new House, Empire's Chosen. With the clan still lacking an RM, he helped to welcome new members by reaching out to them via email. He has been active on TG, working with members to figure out where the clan would like to go fictionally and encouraging members to help decide the direction the clan goes via competitions like the ones found in the Scholae Rising Event. He is always thinking ahead on how to continue to help CSP grow and prosper back into being the great clan it is meant to be. As QUA, he has posted competitions to help members take part in creating the new House's identity and encouraging more activity within Empire's Chosen.

Dek has also been hard at work helping to change and improve the clan military with myself and a couple of others. He has discussed with me numerous times about helping CSP to achieve a more unifying identity that will help the Clan to move forward. He's also discussed with me on future projects for the wiki in which we will improve and create new content. This will also allow other members to take part in. He's also introduced future competition ideas and lineup to increase activity, and future events to help members become more engaged with the story. Also, not to forget, he spent time writing fiction updates for the Scholae Rising event.

Just some additional things: he has participated in a total of 14 competitions, organized 21 competitions, participated in 7 PVP matches and 27 PvE matches, written 2313 words of fiction, and earned 1 degree while having graded 45 courses. He's also received several awards including 1 crescent with a diamond star, 1 crescent with an amethyst star, 1 crescent with an emerald star, 142 clusters of fire, 3 clusters of ice, 3 clusters of graphite, and 18 scrolls of foundation. He's held 2 other positions in both the clan and other areas of the DJB including being a professor in the SA.

Dek has made a huge impression upon me from his dedication to the clan as well as from the wisdom he has gained from his experience over the years. He is passionate about helping CSP to become great again if not better. The Clan is very fortunate and blessed to have him, and I must say I am truly grateful for all he has done and brought to the table. I think he is truly more than deserving of this award. Congratulations, Dek! Well earned. Thank you for all you do, Dek. It has definitely not gone unnoticed.

Additional reasons

Respectfully submitting Sapphire Blade for Dek. In my short time as Proconsul of CSP I have had the pleasure of working with Dek. I can honestly say, in my experience in the DJB I have NEVER seen the output, leadership, and devotion that Dek has to his House and Clan. Shadow has enumerated all the metrics for Dek, but that alone does not remotely indicate the quality of his efforts that are worthy of a Sapphire Blade.

Dek is THE driving force of CSP. Dek has laid out a method process for a full 6 month of events, competitions, fiction output, and plans for the House and Clan as a whole. This staggering undertaking is to be commended. Beyond this, Dek has a host of intiatives (redoing the Clan possessions, a full Wiki overhaul, and recruitment drive). The sheer planning and leadership provided by Dek is a driving force for keeping CSP operational and thriving.

The dedication Dek employs via Telegram, email, and sharing the load for Shadow during a VERY trying time for CSP cannot be expressed by sheer metrics alone. For the individual performance, leadership, planning and vision Dek must be commended and it is only fitting of a Sacramental award such as the Sapphire Blade. Dek follows in the GREATEST tradition and spirit of the DJB and it is Dek who is a leading force for the viability of the Clan and DJB as a whole.

On the Wiki front, Dek has created a new, consolidated and standardized format for ALL CSP pages going forward. This is no easy task, considering the volume of Wiki pages that needed to be scrubbed, streamlined, and in many cases deactivated. Likewise, Dek put together a proposal to start a complete overhaul of CSP's Wiki presence, starting from the ground up at what we are calling "Year 0". Dek has established a team, set agendas, and put forth a timeline and vision for the CSP Wiki in such a structured and defined manner it is unlike anything I have ever seen in the DJB. Bottom Line: Such detail, planning, foresight, and implementation are VERY rare within the organization - even for positions with a full time support staff. This is just Dek, taking it upon himself to better the Clan in impressive ways.

Beyond this, truly humbly, I must say I have NEVER seen the activity planning, fiction updates, and overall strategic planning Dek has created for his House and the Clan as a whole. Specifically, Dek put together a project management scheme for a full 6 month calendar of events, comps, news, and fiction roll outs for us. What does this entail? It entails 9 fictional roll outs, each with their own event slates of multiple competitions. Specifically, 45 competitions have been planned and are ready to be implemented, overarching storylines drafted, and considerable buy-in and feedback solicited with Clan leadership. I have simply never seen anything like this and I doubt anyone else has either - if the entire Clan leadership goes down today we still have a FULL 6 month slate of activity to implement that in terms of sheer volume most Clans would find ambitious to roll out in a full year if not more.

Dek IS the goods. He IS the future of CSP and the DJB in general. I look forward to working for him one day, and humbly yet most strongly recommend this Sapphire Blade as the very least we can offer such a deserving member.
