Shadow was part of the Taldryan CTF Team that won the DB CTF League. The OHC isn't awarding them for their efforts, but they put in a lot of hard work week after week to absolutly dominate all of their opponents, and for that they deserve recognition!

Shadow is an old Dinaari guy, but in the past his leadership stints have been self admittedly somewhat lackluster. Despite this, he has again taken the reigns of House Dinaari and has more than made up for anything in his past. His dynamic presence has given House Dinaari the spark they needed to regain their former activity levels and again become the First House of the Obelisk. This Steel Cross is being given to Shadow for placing in the top 10 of Taldryan for 5th Great Jedi War participation. Shadow placed eighth in the Clan with 74 submissions. Efforts of this magnitude are deserving of more than a basic medal. Over the past couple of months Shad has, quite frankly, been more active than I thought one of the oldies would be. :P In addition to the usual rounds of CTF and bryaring, he's authored the majority of the Tal Wiki pages, participated in seven House or Clan comps, regularly participated in Gaming Nights, ICTE and SIT (and placing in the top three in one instance), been one of Dinaari's major competitors in the ORW (including winning the Pendant of Blood for Rounds 1 and 2), and been generally all-around pimptastic. Because of this, in consultation with Duga, I recommend Shad for a Steel Cross.

Shadow has been my pseudo-wiki-guy basically since the Wiki was created. Whenever I have an idea for a CoJ-wiki page that I can't quite figure out, Shadow jumps at the chance and helps me out. He's helped me design tables and graphics reformatted pages, weighed in on content decisions, and most recently coded an entire template based on a horrible description I gave him. Shadow has always volunteered to do these tasks without my even asking him, and I've never given him anything for these efforts. I am truly grateful for his help, and am glad to see him setting such a great example for other members.

It has been nearly a year and a half since Shad was last recognized for his considerable contributions to the Brotherhood and Taldryan with a merit award. His heavy participation in both the GJW last summer and the more recent RoS helped Taldryan place as highly as we did in both vendettas. He served as the Consul of Taldryan and Aedile of Dinaari in these wars, respectively. Shadow stepped up to the plate to aid Sharad in a pinch, and we are eternally thankful for his help in our time of need.

In the past year and a half, Shad has demonstrated a fair amount of personal activity. Three Legions of the Scholar and two Dark Side Scrolls as well as a host of seals and novae are a testament to his efforts. His online chatter and email responses are paramount to the establishment of our Clan Culture.

Thanks Shad. You deserve this Steel Cross. Now bend over so I can pin it on.

Shadow is without a doubt a great reinforcer in Taldryan, and in my time in the Clan has served to continually improve our position by keeping the Summit in the loop with meticulous attention to member activity. Shadow Taldrya has been what I've considered as the leading Elder for many years in Taldryan. Even in his lowest form of activeness, he emanates awesomeness. Shad' collectively competed in 6 events throughout the Independence Games, and placed 1st in 3 of them, securing himself 3 Gold Nova's. This feat of superior activity and knowledge in the art of fiction and Vendettas landed him 2nd place overall throughout the Dark Jedi Brotherhood during the Independence Games.

Aside from his efforts in war, he's been applying his knowledge in standard activity, ranging from, but not limited to: Trivia (winning himself a Legion of the Scholar for placing), Substantial work on the Wiki (Both editing and writing wiki articles for members, including his own Wiki article) both before and after it crashed, competing in random House competitions and DJB competitions alike (He won the Heralds Dark Assassin competition), and passing Shadow Academy courses (A couple are Old Republic History and Combat Tactics II, for example, all being passed with %100).

Shadows figure is forever etched into Taldryan's legacy, and he continues to add to that mark... even if he is as old as father time. Shadow maintains the title as one of the most reliable members in regards to IRC activity. His grip on fiction has grown so strong as of late, there has yet to be a competition he submits to that DOESN'T win. I find it truly amazing to have such a member within Taldryan, and I can't wait to see what else this influencial member can bring to Taldryan that he hasn't already done over the past decade.

For being awesome throughout the past couple of months, including the IG's, and being the member Taldryan and the DJB needs x100 of, I hereby award Shadow Taldrya with a Steel Cross. Part of me started to think of the song "How do you solve a problem like Maria?" when I decided to begin writing this award for Shadow. Here's the bottom line with this insane maven of DBness that is Shadow. He's been in seclusion from the main body of the Dark Brotherhood for well over half a year. Even before that, he wasn't the most social of people. But everyone knows who he is. Everyone knows that he's basically the finest writer that we currently have in the Dark Brotherhood, because he is. He's quite simply a force in the Dark Brotherhood.

Despite having to withdraw from the DB for a period during the Crusades, Shadow Taldrya still managed to participate in over two thirds of the events he was around for, and managed to earn a basically unheard of amount of nova for his efforts, earning medals in over half of all the events he submitted to, and winning exactly half of them. For being simply the best, I am happy to award Shadow Taldrya this Steel Cross.

Shadow's return to the Voice staff has been most welcome. While his major projects are still taking shape, Shadow has drastically increased turnaround time on character sheets and competition approvals, notching the most CSes approved since his appointment to the office back in August - more than 40% of all non-auto approved character sheets! He has approved so many CSes that in his short time here, he has the third most CSes of any person on the Voice staff this year. He jumpstarted a discussion on Aspects and length, has been influential in setting the criteria for Voice competition approval guidelines.
