Some believe that the Dark Cross is the first step on the merit medal ladder. This medal is one that takes dedication to a house, battleteam and there clan. That is why that it gives me a great honour to be able to recommend a member for this award. I believed that Van has participated enough to be able to achieve this medal.

He has been active on IRC since his last promotion and been talking to me and giving my ideas and helping to improve the Battle Team. He has also taken part in two competitions recently and has organised running a competition. Overall being an active member of Wolf Guard, and House Qel-Droma.

Congratulations on achieving this merit medal Van, keep the hard work up and make sure that you don’t stop being active.

Van has done a great job of being both active and successful lately within the House. He has been a stable on IRC, in communication with his BTL, participating in competitions, and earning three Crescents in the process. He is a solid member, and I believe he deserves to have that recognized with the awarding of a Dark Cross. Throughout my time as a Rollmaster, VanWyck has been a grand help with coming up with ideas to revamp the Master/Student program. So far, he has helped me with the idea of Master/Student Reports, ideas for Master/Student RunOns and additions to the welcome emails, among other things.

Since his last recognition, he has participated in 9 competitions, organized 1 competition, passed 31 SA courses, and acquired 9 SA degrees.
