Custom Lightsabers

Bad news to all who have been waiting after me to design their lightsaber, I have recently been having problems with my hard-drive and have lost some very important data. Among that data was my list / descriptions for lightsabers.

If you were waiting on me to make your lightsaber, then please send an email to me again at [Log in to view e-mail addresses], with a brief description of what you would like to see in it. I remember Esca, Kaek and Jonaleth amongst others wanted me to make theirs, but I still lost your description.

I will put up a list of people (in order) at oscura.krath.org once I have a new one, and thus I will be able to keep you all up to date.

Some of you have been waiting a very long time, but I will work to get them completed by the end of the summer.

So I will be waiting for your emails.

Sith Overlord Cyris Oscura
Praetor to the Herald
Magistrate to the Grand Master
Magistrate to the Oracle (thnx Gui :P)
Member of House Bane of Plagueis

Just curiously, isn't being PraetorAND Magistrate to the Herald a bit... redundant? :P Heh.

Oopsies, fixed :P

Yeah I just mentioned the same thing on IRC before I saw your comment. Why would the same person be both Praetor and Magistrate to the same position? It makes no sense whatsoever.

I've actually been browsing the roster recently, and noticed a lot of pointless appointments like that. I'll name a few examples, starting with you, Bloodfyre. :P

You're a cool guy, but why the fuck are you Magistrate to the Grand Master when you're on the DC as Sith High Warrior? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If the GM wants you to do something, doesn't he just have to ask via the Office of the SHW?

Another example is Kir, also a cool and capable person...but why is he Praetor to the Deputy Grand Master, AND Magistrate to the Grand Master? That is also very redundant, as the DGM is the chief apprentice of the GM, and...well, wtf is the point of that appointment?

There are other examples I could make, and while they aren't exactly the same "thing" they're related...the same one person has like 4 different Magistrate spots, and 4 different Praetor spots. Why?

Praetor and Magistrate positions used to be restricted where only one person could hold any one slot. It was also restricted to one Praetor and two Magistrates (why some of the DCers need more than that many assistants is beyond me). They were restricted for a couple of good reaons. One is the fact that it could lead to DC laziness (no comment), and the second is that no DCer should ever have any need for that many assistants. Seriously.

Praetor and Magistrate positions are good positions for potential new members to learn a thing or two about a DCers trade, as well as assisting said DCer during said members experience in office. The whole thing as it stands now is horribly unorganized, and I recommend you DCers take a hard look at that area of the "system" and make a non-biased assessment. And then take action and fix it. Sheesh

frowns and clings to his positions

I agree with Blade...I never thought I'd ever say it but it's true :P

Yea I agree also (even if i joked earlier)

Yea I agree also (even if i joked earlier) BUT could we take this elsewhere, my news post isn't about that. Anyone who makes another post, I'll disable comments. Please :)
