GJW6: The Seal of Duplicity

GJW6: The Seal of Duplicity

Our Herald has provided a great seal medal for this war. Here it is, in all of its glory, as it will soon show up on your dossiers:

Superb work, Muz!

Nice looking Seal, bud.

Wouldn't something like "Seal of Duality" be more fitting? Duplicity is synonymous with deception and trickery, which really doesn't seem to fit the plot of the GJW. Maybe if one of the Jacs had been an imposter that would fit, but they were really just clones, so I think duality would be a more fitting description.

That of course is simply my opinion, I value it's worth at precisely two cents.

Gonna hafta bump that up to 2 1/2 cents - I totally agree, but since I'm mooching off your initial investment, I'm not entitled to the full value :)

The term "duplicity" has been purposefully chosen exactly because it by its dictionary definition exactly means what Kromtal said but it also hints at "duplicate". In this duality, the term reflects both the initial stage of the war, the later dualness of Jac and ultimately also the as of yet unknown forces who wreaked this fate on us - the enemy within, attacking the Brotherhood from the inside.

Even though the visible aspect was duality, there were Clans fighting their own longterm allies and friends attacking friends over this duality. Which brings us back to duplicity :)

Besides, duplicity is the much more insidious term. And remember, the threat might not yet be over.

Duplicity works just fine. After all, we were all decieved in many ways.

1) "I'm the real Jac, he's a fake!" (x2) Fuck that. Neither one of them was really Jac. Jac took off for his anniversary/honeymoon, Kaiann cloned Jac, tried to make them kill each other, and plotted to take over the Dark Council. It's no secret that Kaiann has always wanted to be GM.

2) "This war was new, and absolutely better than the last in every way!" Fuck that. This war was a rehash of the last war. "Red vs. Blue," "Infected vs. Clean," it's all the same old bullshit. You wrap up a pile of dog poop, cover it in roses and call it a bouquet, it's still a steaming pile of shit.

3) "The DB split evenly, because we all know, the DC and Clans are all worried about sides being split 50/50! We all wanted to support one Jac or the other!" Fuck that. Most of us didn't care. In fact, this was pretty much a minor conflict that could've been contained to the Council itself, but no. We were deceived into thinking we were involved, and that we had to be involved. As if there wasn't a single Clan that would've sat back and said, "Kill yourselves. Call me when you declare a winner, so I can come and kill them, and return things to normal."

4) And so on, and so forth, blah blah, blah. Duplicity works just fine. The only term that would work even better is, "GJW: The Seal of Ridiculously Wasted Time."
