Dark Covenant Amendment

After our amendment to Section 8.04 (Preponderance of the Evidence), one of our members pointed out that we had forgotten to update the Grand Master's section of the Covenant to reflect this change in burden of proof. Therefore to ensure that the Grand Master is treated no differently in prosecution than any other member, the Dark Council voted to make the following change.

Section 3.03F - Indictment of the Grand Master, previously read:

"In a Trial of Peers, the Justicar will sit as judge over a jury of twelve randomly selected Equite or Elder members from the Brotherhood to determine the guilt or innocence of the Grand Master. Chosen members must be currently in a clan or holding another active position. The burden on the Jury will be a three-fourths conviction beyond a reasonable doubt."

Section 3.03F will now match the judicial statute, and read:

"In a Trial of Peers, the Justicar will sit as judge over a jury of twelve randomly selected Equite or Elder members from the Brotherhood to determine the guilt or innocence of the Grand Master. Chosen members must be currently in a clan or holding another active position. The burden on the Jury will be a three-fourths conviction, supported by a preponderance of the evidence, of the accused on each charge presented. "

Signed and Sealed in Justice,

Dark Side Adept Kir Taldrya Katarn

Justicar and High Protector of the Dark Brotherhood
