Dark Brotherhood Player Association

Adherents of the Final Way,

After several months of discussion with the Deputy Grand Master and members of the Dark Council, I have decided to close the Dark Brotherhood Player's Association.

When Star Wars Galaxies was released many of us hoped it would serve as a recruitment platform. Star Wars Galaxies had the promise to unite Star Wars fans in a MMO but unfortunately it never lived up to its expectations. SOE's release of the much hated new game enhancements led to a mass exodus that the game has never recovered from.

Unfortunately the poor choices of SOE are not the only reasons I am closing down the PA (or better said, the Dark Brotherhood's Official relationship with a DB PA). We have had multiple catastrophes in the game ranging from one guild leader attempting mutiny to another guild leader openly exploiting the game.

The most recent incidents that displayed a total lack of command served as proverbial straw.

So what does this mean:

1. The removal of the T:SWG position

2. The end of the DB's official relationship with an in game player association

3. SWG is now a standard DB game platform. Activity in SWG should be considered no different than activity in JA/JK/JO/XVT.

4. If members would like to run a multiplayer competition based on PVP in SWG, the T:G will be the approving official.

5. SWG is a game that people pay for and our players who continue to play SWG can decide if they wish to remain following former Tribunes or if they want to do their own thing. You pay for the game, play it your way.

This was not an easy decision for me because I was a long time SWG player and hoped the platform and PA would be a success, but this has not happened.
