You saw Howie's note from earlier reference the battle plans. Multiple submissions were under the 1500 word requirement. The Dark Council voted unanimously to not award participation to those submissions that did not meet the stated word count (similar to fiction and run-ons). Most teams were under the word count by several hundred words, to include one team that was under the count by a 1000 words.

I have emailed all of the word count DQ teams.
