Darknyte is extremely competitive and strives to become the best at every task he is given. The benefit of this cutthroat approach to life and work is that he will always give 100%, pushing himself to his physical or mental limits to overcome any task. However, Darknyte’s overzealous ambition makes him insufferable to all but the most patient of companions, making it difficult to make friends while he either proves successful or utterly fails at being the best.

Be it during a fight or life in general, moral compass means little to Darknyte. If you don’t want a person harmed, you had better specify. General terms mean nothing to him as Darknyte only deals in specifics. If the rules of a duel say you can’t shoot before the count of three? A grenade over the shoulder is fair game, then. Tell Darknyte to stop someone at all costs, well, you better not be concerned if they’re brought back dead or alive.

Darknyte is extremely cocksure and headstrong. Possessing a keen wit and exceptional level of intelligence, Darknyte will often use his superior intellect to humiliate lesser minds. Basically, he is kind of a jerk, and that can sometimes get Darknyte in a bit of trouble.

People tend to reverently follow Darknyte’s lead and look up to him in difficult situations. Whether through inspirational behavior, fear and manipulation, or belief and hope for a better future, they think that Darknyte genuinely believes what he does. This is all a clever facade, however, as Darknyte is not always as upstanding and respectable as his followers believe. He is no idol, but an opportunist who knows how to manipulate a crowd into bettering his own machinations.

Through a mixture of cocksure courage and arrogant swagger, Darknyte will not back down from a challenge when called out, even if the wiser path is to walk away or let it go. Darknyte's personality does tend to rub a lot of people the wrong way, which generally puts him into situations that escalate quickly to violence. While he may not be the one to always start a fight, he will always see it through to it’s conclusion. Some have tried to play a challenge off as idle banter, but when Darknyte initiates or accepts a challenge, he does not hold back.

Darknyte possesses a single minded drive for victory, and a deep-seated martyr complex. When presented with a chance to wade into battle versus overwhelming odds, Darknyte does not hesitate, and instead rushes in, relying on skill, fate or chance to let him survive.
