Deandria Clery sees herself as the control subject in the science experiment called life. Often labeled as "boring" and "predictable", Deandria Clery keeps her wild and experimental side reserved for pet projects. This boring lifestyle leads to her being considered anti-social and when she does join others, instead of relaxing she prefers to keep quiet and observe.

Deandria Clery has both been there and done that. she thinks she has seen every imaginable scenario of war and battle and survived it all, and that nothing can phase her. The daily grind has almost become too intolerable for Deandria Clery and they are prone to lash out at anyone who attempts to coerce them into another adventure.

Deandria Clery considers her work to be the most important aspect of her life. This borderline obsessions with the "job" leaves little room for any kind of personal or social life, making it difficult for Deandria Clery to relax and enjoy spending time with others. she excels in activities that relate to their work, but the idea of work-life balance is an altogether abstract concept.

Deandria Clery has complete faith that the Shadow Academy's archives are the most comprehensive records in the galaxy. This goes so far as her on occasion claiming "If an item does not appear in our records, it does not exist." This faith and dedication can come off as cockiness to some, much to Clery's annoyance, while others applaud her selfless dedication to the pursuit of knowledge.

When Deandria Clery gets in trouble, she finds no fault in bravely turning tail and getting the hell out of dodge. Obviously, this means that she tends to survive even the most deadly encounters... but the same can't always be said for her compatriots. This fact hasn't exactly made her the most popular among her peers, but hey, at least Deandria Clery isn't dead yet.

Through careful study and dedication to isolated martial-combat, Deandria Clery has turned the act of dueling into an art form. A keen eye and attention to detail allows her the ability to learn their opponent's idiosyncrasies while fighting. Deandria Clery then uses her own skills to capitalize on the opponent's weakness. Because of this calculated approach to isolated duels, Deandria Clery has a harder time taking on multiple opponents at once at higher skill levels.
