Signified by her hard faced and impassive features, Kamlin Xarel is a towering but notably slender figure among her species. With jade green skin which is a tone darker than most Falleen, her complexion is showing the first wrinkles of age. This serves to exaggerate her dark purple eyes and is further highlighted by Kamlin’s choice to style her hair in the manner of topknot; typically those of Falleen males. Across her right cheek is the faded coded brand given to her as an Imperial slave, marking her as a mine worker. No effort has been made to remove this, save for a shallow diagonal scar which has defaced the symbol.
General Kamlin Xarel has not created any public loadouts yet.
Few ever follow the same path in life, and Kamin’s long existence has seen her play out many roles in among the universe’s great powers. From serving the CIS as a privateer, to a Rebel commander, to an Imperial slave turned Principate spy, she has fought for many sides in the galaxy’s wars. The experiences of her past decades are still clear in her mind, as are the lessons she learned in each role. These give her a degree of familiarity in intelligence, labour, and warfare that most politicians lack. Yet they are a two-edged sword, as Kamlin’s greatest challenge is often reconciling what a past role would demand and what a politician should do. Even with the unexpected edge it can provide, it can be difficult to concede that the best political move is not the most strategically viable one.
Most people read of great historical events. Kamlin has lived it. From fighting on the frontlines of the Clone Wars to assisting with the Principate’s rise, she has witnessed first-hand how times change. This has left her with a jaded, almost nihilistic view, of the universe and how it is bound to repeat itself. Forever predicting and preparing for one cataclysm or another, she is constantly expecting things to turn out for the worst even as she hopes for the best outcome. While this has given Kamlin the reputation of pessimistic naysayer, her role as Triumvir of Steel has ensured that the Principate is always ready for war, natural disasters, or to take advantage of an enemy’s moment of weakness.
It is often the thing you don’t know which ends up hurting you most. Consciously watching her back and preparing for the worst, Kamlin has continually made contingency after contingency to ready herself for worst case situations. After years of this, she has become skilled at using her influence to ready herself to weather a potential disaster and protect her people through any means necessary. In her eyes, the fall of the New Republic is proof that there is a storm coming and it has simply yet to reach them. Unfortunately, her efforts have required Kamlin to maintain a very close relationship with the Principate’s military as she actively strengthens it. This move has seen unwelcome comparisons with the rise of Palpatine, and she has proven reluctant to relinquish this new power.
Like most good politicians, Kamlin will stay true to her word no matter the cost. Like most great natural leaders, she knows that people have trouble paying attention to anything unsaid. Her words are chosen extremely carefully and, even in the midst of a heated conversation or polite discussion, she will always consider how to turn a phrase or word to her advantage. This has granted Kamlin the ability to utilise no small number of verbal loopholes in a moment’s notice. This has naturally led to others cautious about Kamlin. Even as she uses this ability primarily for the Principate’s benefit, it has left political rivals regarding her as being self-serving.
The role of a leader is to command others, and Kamlin has become well versed in coordinating the efforts of groups. From assembled teams of specialists to full war fleets, she can rapidly analyse and then utilise their skills to incredible effect. Even in the midst of a firefight, she can use her talents to ensure that the right person is in the right place to deliver the most damage. However, over the decades Kamlin has become increasingly reliant upon using others as her tools of war. While she will fight in-person as needed, more often than not she will focus upon delaying tactics or misdirecting an enemy so that an ally can make a killing shot.
Kamlin’s skillset doesn’t rely upon martial power so much as her intelligence and deductive powers. Quickly identifying and planning out sequences of attacks, she will pinpoint where to hit hardest and how to deny them opportunities to strike back. This is an approach she willingly utilises in everything from personal duels to guiding armies into battle or business transactions. The brutality and crippling nature of these strikes is a key factor in such an approach, along with maintaining a steady momentum of strikes. Kamlin will also notably struggle when facing an enemy lacking weaknesses that she can identify or register quickly enough.
