Grand Inquisitor "Aequitas" Anderson
Grand Inquisitor "Aequitas" Anderson
Anderson is a tall, handsome, average built Chiss male that shares many of the characteristics associated with his species. He has deep blue skin, and bright red eyes that seem to shine even in darkness. His hair is pitch black, though a small tint of blue can be seen by those up close. His hair is cut short, and extends to the bottom of his neck.
Notable Markings
Anderson has the tattoo of the Inquisitorious in indigo that stretches from just below his neck to his tailbone. The palms of his hands have very distinct knife scars across them, the result of Sith alchemical practices.
He speaks with a strong Coruscanti accent, the result of living for over a decade on the planet. He carries himself with dignity, his stature often upright, carrying an aristocratic tone about him.
The galaxy is a cruel and unforgiving place, and few understand this better than Anderson. A childhood riddled with injustice, and the manipulation of a Sith Master have fed the belief that the only form of justice worth serving is in the form of retribution.
Anderson is not afraid to deal this justice himself, and frequently goes out of his way to ensure it is followed no matter how cruel it may be. To others, it may seem extreme, or borderline sadistic, but to Anderson, justice needs to be served.
After all, in his own words;
"The galaxy needs to be held accountable for its actions, whether it likes it or not."
Some say that Anderson once brought down an army of barbarians with a single bolt of Force Lightning. Others claim that he defeated a tyrant warlord with a single flick of his wrist. Many proclaim that he outduelled some of the greatest warriors in the galaxy whilst outnumbered with one hand tied behind his back and a blindfold over his eyes.
These stories are, of course, greatly exaggerated. Or are they? There are truths in tales, and there's no denying the impact Anderson has had on many worlds in the Outer Rim and Wild Space. He has become a legend to be feared by his enemies, respected by warriors, and praised amongst citizens amongst these worlds, earning the moniker “The Great Zenod.”
Naturally, this has made him a problem to pirates, warlords, mega corporations, and more that seek to exploit these territories. Quite frankly, Anderson delights in that prospect.
In moments of extreme hatred, injustice, betrayal, and revenge, a darker side to Anders’ personality is revealed; Aequitas.
Aequitas emerges when the Dark Side erupts within him and the “Sith Eyes” appear on his face. He retains the sarcastic wit and impressive use of language and vocabulary, though the smile and cordiality vanishes, replaced with a determined, yet ill-mannered and vicious persona. He won't pull punches with his words as he comes across as cold, uncaring, and downright hostile. In short, he treats these people like scum, because he believes that is what they are. Scum. He becomes sadistic, twisted, malicious, and in some cases, downright evil in his pursuit of justice.
This side of Anderson is incredibly difficult to reason with. However, he can be reached by those he cares for, even if that chance seems slim.
Once upon a time, Anderson came across as highly arrogant, egotistical, and full of himself to others. To the surprise of almost nobody, that is still mostly the case. He is not the type of man to mince his words, using a large vocabulary that does not use contractions to tell people what he truly thinks sarcastically or otherwise, whether that is of the situation, or of them. He can come across as indignant, proud, and haughty, and he would not have it any other way.
Sure, it's honest, but it does not make him very popular to many in the Brotherhood. After recent events, there are some notable exceptions that see the man beneath the coarse exterior and can get him to actually listen to them, though they are very few and far between and success often varies.
A Grand Inquisitor’s mind is as dangerous as the weapon in their hand. Unfortunately, for Anderson's enemies, that mind also happens to wield a lightsaber and Dun Möch.
Anderson is a purist, a sole Makashi master that personifies immaculate footwork, balance, and precision with a single-blade in a deadly one-handed style. He scoffs upon those who attempt to blend multiple forms together in a sloppy mess, berating and lambasting them all the while. Specialisation is superior to hybridisation in his eyes. Against fellow Jedi, Sith, or otherwise, he has no issues suppressing their connection to the Force to make them fight on his terms.
Despite his specialisation making him dangerous, it also means he cannot eliminate all of its weaknesses. Strength-based styles present a challenge for him should they be able to use their superior might and momentum to press him, potentially leaving him exposed and vulnerable.
For a Sith, the Force is a weapon to be wielded to dominate their enemies.
To this end, Anderson has developed a strong preference for Force Lightning. It is usually his go-to power even before drawing his lightsaber into his hand. He is not above grandiose displays of this power, chaining streams of electricity together in attempts to humiliate, subjugate, and outright destroy his opponents.
That isn't to say he won't use his other powers, especially if the situation demands it or it is more practical or to do so, but rather that Anderson feels a stronger connection to the darker aspects of the Force.
His reserves, however, are not as unlimited as he believes. Enemies that are electric-resistant can withstand the onslaught of the storm, and those that can suppress his power can render this fighting method futile.
Though, that is much easier said than done.
