Competition: Out in the Dark

Out in the Dark

Write an original story in response to one of the following prompts:

Since the fall of New Tython, the Sentinel Network has lost contact with many of its sources in Brotherhood space. Now that things have settled down a bit, you have been sent to Karufr, Judecca, or Yridia II to meet with a mid-ranking Jedi sympathizer in a hostile Clan's military. You are to determine the asset's current status and make contact with them if at all possible. The Inquisitorius is actively hunting our allies, so be on guard. If necessary, you are authorized to exfiltrate loyal assets to a SeNet safe house on Selen.

OR

A mysterious crime lord has reached out to us through our contacts on Nar Shaddaa, claiming that they wish to establish a "mutually beneficial" business relationship and offering us a shipment of Brezaks as a gesture of good will. You are to meet with the crime lord's representative at the Testy Tauntaun cantina on Nar Shaddaa, discern their motives, and decide if their offer is worth pursuing. SeNet has very little intelligence on this syndicate, so keep your wits about you and your weapon within reach.

Entries must be at least 500 words and suitable for publication to the Brotherhood at large - no graphic sex or nauseatingly descriptive violence, please. All entries will be graded according to the Voice Fiction Rubric and will be awarded Clusters of Ice accordingly. Entries must be submitted as a .pdf, .doc, .docx, .rtf, or .html file. Links to live Google Docs will not be accepted; use the "Download as…" feature to export your story.
