This fiction competition is going to consist of two prompts. Within the prompts, two similarities exist: a) you are joined by a team. For the purpose of this competition, this team should be made up of NPCs, such as slaves of the Ascendant Legion, bounty hunters, or NPCs from your character's fictional universe. And b), though you are provided a setting in terms of a planet, you can manipulate the story to your advantage. Whether it is middle-of-nowhere Dantooine or the middle of the capital city on Cadinth, be creative with the use of your provided setting.
The Dread Lord has assigned a team under your command to retrieve vital industrial resources from the planet Cadinth. En route to the system you are contacted by an unknown Inquisitorius agent. The agent communicates that they are in possession of vital intelligence of importance to Clan Plagueis regarding a Jedi remnant from Florrum. However, in orbit of Cadinth you have lost contact with the agent. With your team in tow, attempt to locate the agent, procure the intelligence, and if possible, complete your original mission.
While on Dantoonine retrieving vital agricultural and industrial equipment for projects on Aliso, your team comes under attack by a superior force. Escape with the majority of the equipment intact and successfully return to Aliso, sacrificing the majority of your forces, or save the majority of your troops and sacrifice the majority of the equipment to the enemy. This is a no-win scenario, where one or the other must happen.
Writing will be graded using the standard VOICE Fiction rubric, with the best three stories earning crescents. We will be paying attention to detail, specifically to continuity in your story. Must be a minimum of 500 words, no maximum.
