Fall to the Dark Side

The night falls in a heavy, suffocating cloak, alone am I. The light for which I sacrificed myself Flares once, then dies swallowed by the all-encompassing Dark. All hope must surely perish. For love is no more.

Only darkness is there.

How could I have caused such hurt? His dark Force surrounds me, crying, YOU are now fallen. Slender beams of Light no longer enter, This darkened prison as I kneel.

Despairing, I am frozen here, waiting.

Tortured forms wrought in holographic luminescence loom, As dust dances in the air, Forming an image in my mind, Infiltrating my exposed soul. I see terror on humanity's face.

I raise my head, now submitting to the uncaring darkness.

Around, all around, the shadows gather. My dread grows as the Dark One's touch falls against my heart. It crushes me, and darkly my Life’s blood drips to the broken ground. In agony I fall limply while oblivion laughs cruelly.

This is my salvation.

We all like talking about ourselves in one way or another. Some in hardcore fiction some with comedy.

Now you can in prose.

The above poem is one I wrote about me falling from Light to Gray and into the cold embrace of the Dark side of the Force.

You too can express yourself in some poetic way. Free verse, Haiku, rhyming stanza, whatever!

The only rules? You must be original and you must write three or more stanzas.

Grading will be based upon meeting the above requirements and overall entertainment provided when read.

Submissions should be in .DOC, .TXT (wordpad), or in the submission block.

Betrayal. It is what I am.
What I have become. Deceit.
Power. That first taste.
It has never given up it's hold since. Loved.

Friends. I betrayed them.
They punished me. Forgiven.
Family. In the end I served.
Still I watched. Chance.

Trusted. They believe me now.
But it is all false. Foolish.
Again. I feel the familiar pull.
I must resist. Failing.

Enticed. I am at it again.
Back where I belong. Home.
Success. This time though.
I will make sure. Victorious.

Time

A proud Matriarch that is protective of her family
Set on becoming the strongest one
Soon finds regret in the form of a sacrifice
Now she is broken without a former guide
Can she survive?
Only time will tell

She wanders a bit lost in thought
Saddened by her sudden loss
Dark whispers begin to call out
Yet hope shines through
A brilliant light reveals the way
But only time will tell

A greyish jedi tutors her ways
Allowing her the chance to see a different perspective
The road is long and hard
Struggling she gains a better sight
But can she keep it?
Only time will tell

Now she finds joy in the birth of her daughter
Clinging to the happiness she has found
But war is coming and she must go
To the burning sands of Moriband
Will she survive the onslaught?
Only time will tell

Again the darkness whispers to her mind
Calling on her to use its strength
Will she fall Or will she rise above?
Can she hold on to her light?
Or is this the last shot?
Only time will tell
