Competition: What the....they made him Rollmaster?

Somehow that old rascal Kromtal Stormfyld weaseled his way into becoming the new Rollmaster of Tarentum. I know, that's absolute insanity. Some kind of crazy shenanigans must have went on or there has to be some sort of blackmail involved. Your job is to write a short fiction (500 to 750 words) explaining just what went down to bring about such a crazy turn of events.

Entries will be graded using the standard DJB fiction rubric, and I will place particular emphasis on the comedic aspect of the story. This competition is light-hearted, I want to see some funny stories.
