JTF Shan: Combat Conditioning

One of the things that JTF Shan learned from the destruction of New Tython was that the Jedi weren’t sufficiently physically prepared for combat. The rules of engagement had changed, and physical training needed to change to meet these new demands, according to Alethia Archenskova. COU Leaders also wanted to decrease the incidence of joint injuries during combat and in pre-deployment training. So newer breakthroughs in exercise science have been incorporated into the JTF physical training program in what is known as combat conditioning.

A Constant State of Readiness

JTF operatives never know when they’ll be called to perform and Combat Conditioning keeps them in a constant state of readiness. Durzo Es-Piera, who oversees the combat conditioning program at the Shan base in Sky Breach, Daleem, emphasizes the need to vary workouts. To be in that state of readiness, you should vary not just the substance of your workout but its length and the time of day you do it. This new idea is a big departure from old-fashioned physical training, which in some units meant a predictable regimen of pushups, pull-ups and a three-mile run three days per week.

With the creation of our new and fabulous base (thanks Korroth!) it’s now time to test it out with a series of fun and amazing Flash Games!! For the next 12 weeks, I will be running a weekly Flash Comp series. It's time to have some fun playing games and also earn some crescents in the meantime!

All games are score based, any ties will be won by the first one to submit. Each week I will host a different flash game and the these will be their own competitions individually. However I will also award points in an overall 'championship' as follows:

  • 1st - 10 points
  • 2nd - 8 points
  • 3rd - 6 points
  • 4th - 5 points
  • 5th - 4 points
  • 6th - 3 points
  • 7th - 2 points
  • 8th - 1 point
