Competition: Welcome Back, Rax!

We have a new Proconsul in Tarentum. It's up to us to give Rax a proper welcome. How do we do that, you may ask? Well, that's where this competition comes in...

Rax needs to know what to expect from Tarentum, so it's up to you to write a humorous story involving pulling a prank on Rax to welcome him back to Tarentum and get him off on the right foot.

Submissions will be judged based on the Voice rubric(75%) as well as for humor(25%). I would like to see at least 500 words, but I have no upper limit on how much you can write.
