Surik Island
Once as free as the lark who sings
Now ensnared by the war invaders bring
Republic of the Force no longer their king

Nayama, Elaya, Meraxis
Brings death to the inhabitants here
Brings struggles for those who are near
Brings pain to Surik's children dear

When will it end?
Will the war between them ever cease?
Will there ever truly be restored peace?
Will people sent by the gods meet their need?

What is that?
In the sky, up above our world?
It hangs low, as if its wings are unfurled
Its talons clutching our island as if they were knurled

They say they bring peace
This peace we need and desperately desire
But peace must be won with rays of fire
Their troops' weapons sing as if part of a choir

They say they're friends
They want to help us in every way they can
They think they can draw their line in our sand
Their power, they promise, will continue to span

Will they stay true?
Will they stay our friends when this war is done?
Will their way in the world shine bright as the sun?
We will not know until the battle is won.

Ashla guide me
Surround we
Help break free
Lyricize thee
And not jeopardize me
All the time I
Stop to think why
Helms of the force deny
Laughing and crying to die
A moment to see the end is nigh
After all we did not kill
So the force could not us will
Heal the divide, let alliances chill
Live to the day we finally climb the hill
And deify our will to fill....
ASHLA
