You are not yourself. In fact, you are another person within Clan Scholae Palatinae. Write a short fiction using the provided prompt from the perspective of someone else’s character in the Clan. You are that character. However, that character will be interacting with who you usually are (e.g. I write as though I’m Raiju talking to Dek).
This will be graded according to the official Voice rubric. Since this is a short fiction, you will not be expected to go beyond 500-750 words. Keep your idea simple and feasible for the prompt. A winning entry will successfully write the character they inhabit well as according to their character sheet (using skills, FPs, and aspects appropriately).
You feel tense. The Clans are not at ease. The Iron Throne has seen fit to destroy the Cocytus System. Even though we’ve found a potential new system to conquer (Caperion) it feels as though something major is about to erupt. Murmurs of war are occurring. Secretive discussions between leaders are coming out of the blue. We should’ve taken Caperion by now, but something is not right. You have a discussion with another one of of your Clanmates on the issue and the surrounding feelings. It could be in passing, it could be in a meeting, or it could be imperative. A discussion does occur.
