Competition: Tarentum Holiday Poetry

Deck sacrificial halls with skulls of Jedi,
Mwa ha ha ha ha, ha haha ha,
Tis the season for death and destruction,
Mwa ha ha ha ha, ha haha ha,
Wrap the flagstaffs in gore and entrails,
And don't forget what alchemy entails,
Mwa ha ha ha ha, ha haha ha.

Cheer is all around,
Awaiting the night of lights and friends.
Gifts to give and time for mistletoe,
The clan of life and death is at peace.

Another year has come and gone,
Another Holiday Past
We Tarenti reminisce of days gone by
And loved ones who have passed

Tarentum remembers Holidays from long ago
And the joyous times we had
Chatting on Telegram
The smiles of our dear Consuls

We ask ourselves, where did they go?
These years we oft recall
And how many more will we lay to rest
Before we hear the call

How many Holidays yet to come,
How many New Year’s days,
Are waiting in the years ahead
As Tarentum grows old and gray

But when that final Day comes
And Tarentum celebrates its last
The memories will all return
Of all the Holidays’ past

Those wonderful times we Tarenti had before
Will fill our hearts once more
As Tarentum takes that one last sleigh ride
Through heaven’s open door
