Competition: [Hoth-TPoF] No Rest For The Wicked

After being withdrawn from Nancora due to intelligence of an impending attack on our home system and several hours of tense waiting, Hoth is mobilizing. Do you choose to travel to the stronghold of the Collective detachment or remain behind to defend Solyiat?

Prompts

• Your character travels with Commander Drachen and the Rapid Response Force to investigate the intelligence. As soon as you arrive at the Headquarters of Eradicatus, you come under fire. When the Commander calls for aid, it’s answered by news that Solyiat is under attack. Hold your position and survive until the reinforcements arrive.
  
• Your character chooses to remain on Solyiat to defend the home front. At the same time as Commander Drachen calls for reinforcements, Lt. Commander Edraven reaches out due to emergency alerts. Vatali Royal Guards are under attack by Rogue members of the Quorahi; when members leave to assist, they come under attack by a small platoon of Collective Soldiers.

Tell your character(s) story in a fiction at a minimum of five hundred (500) words, with no maximum word cap. Submissions must be in .PDF file format; no gdoc links will be accepted.
