[Taldryan] Caelus Chronicles - The moon that never sleeps: The Taldryan Sector

Though being a former part of the Imperial Sector, the sector now under control of Taldryan is the least populated area of ecumenopolis, granting the Clan control over a sector with only little infrastructure except for a capital ship grade spaceport on its northern borders and some military facilities other than the buildings still under construction. However this too leaves the Clan now under control of the sector with most freedom as to how it will shape the sector in the future.

Just like in the Sector under control of the Consortium of free Merchants, the members of the Clan were allowed to deploy their own security forces within the sector they set home on, though the official jurisdiction remains at the Caelus Security Forces at all times.

This sector is comparable to: Vardos and Corellia

You are allowed to submit more than one venue (and we encourage it!) for consideration, though only the first on the submission will be able to place.

Grading will be determined by the most interesting, well thought out, and descriptive writing. Note, this is not a fiction, this isn’t about telling a story, it's about what you see walking up to, and inside, of the locale.

Submissions may be in pdf or .doc form, or text box. Wiki coding is not required, nor will it influence the scoring.

You may add images to your submission but these are purely to round up your submission and wont affect the grading, However if you add images to your submissions, please make sure to state any sources you took your images from(!)

Third Level Crescents are up for grab to the Top3 Submissions as well as 10 Influence Points per valid submission.

Chryon Taldryan Sector - Capital Ship Spaceport - Bay AA-6300

A relic of the now definunct Imperial government, the Motti Memorial Spaceport has seen little maintenance since the death of the Emperor. While some of the smaller bas have been kept in fully functioning form, Docking Bay AA-6300 was designed to house some of the largest ships in the Imperial fleet capable of atmospheric flight, the likes of which have become very uncommon this far into the Outer Rim. Without the resources and technical know how of the Imperial war machine, the Ky’Lian family has chosen to maintain other bays that more easily serve smaller merchant ships rather than the larger vessels of war.

The docking bay can normally be sealed from the rest of the facility by two heavy blast doors which create a rather large vestibule between them when both are shut. However in its current state the second set of blast doors are jammed in a partially open state due to an currently unidentified malfunction. Upon entering the docking bay proper it is hard to miss the 100 meter high duracrete walls that form a large elliptic ring around the deck plating.

The walls have long since lost their white luster and have now taken on a deep brown hue, interspersed with spots of black, as a reflection of the dirt and grime they have absorbed over the past three decades. Although the deck plating is still a deep obsidian, its former shine is as absent as the garrison that was responsible for its upkeep.

Strewn all about the large space are all manner of discarded technology, unused or unwanted building materials and run of the mill garbage. While it is clear that the assorted materials were all discarded in a haphazard manner by different groups, those who have used this area as their dumping ground have all been sure to keep the myriad winding paths through the junk open for later use.

At the far end of the docking bay, to the left as you enter, the command tower looms over the dilapidated bay. Originally the tower took the form of a short, stubby durasteel “T” but its right wing is now missing, havng been torn off during a mid-air collision. Scortch marks now ring a large opening in the tower that poses a significant risk to anyone brave enough to ascend to the top of the command tower in the barely functioning turbolift.
