Into the Fire - Long Fiction

Unfaltering in their resolve, Imperial Scholae Intelligence turns to you to act as their hound in the hunt for a traitor that leaked information that may have been the very key to their infiltration of the city and Adinoram Tower, the seat of Scholae Palatinae’s power. If anything, the wrath of the Imperial Scholae Intelligence is far greater than that of the Empress. Alternatively, it is discovered that the Meraxis Empire may have even received no small bit of intel from the native population of Maqor. Two paths lay open.

Choose one(1):

Mission Choice 1 - Manhunt

You’ve chosen to accept the mission to chase down the traitor that has leaked information to the enemy. The last bit of intel you’ve received says they’ve escaped into the North West of Maqor. This portion of Maqor is the latest to fall under Scholae control and still has many places for a Meraxin defector to hide. You know however that the traitor still has far more information that can further endanger the clan and it is your duty to ensure they are silenced… after you find out what they’ve already shared with the Meraxins, of course.

Mission Choice 2 - The Enemy of Mine Enemy

The question looms heavier than ever before with intelligence that the Meraxis may have received information from sympathizers remaining in Maqor on the Elaya side of the border. It is unknown whether the intelligence itself can be relied upon or whether the intel is itself a hoax to draw the clan into Elayan controlled territory and into possible conflict with Elaya itself. By choosing this mission, you are choosing to enter Elayan territory and investigate the rumours whether as a spy or as a diplomatic representative of the clan. The last thing the Empress desires is war with the Elayans while the Maraxis Empire is banging on the door.
