Competition: CSP Moves to Seraph!

Background:

Following the devastating Civil War and attack by the Children of Mortis, Emperor Kamjin "Maverick" Lap'lamiz has declared a new renaissance for Scholae Palatinae and the Caperion System.

To showcase that the clan is now fully in control of the system, Kamjin has declared that the seat of power for the clan will be moved to Seraph and a new city and headquarters will be established from which the clan will rule the system.

You have been asked to participate in the designing and implementing of this new, glorious, construction project. Compete in the below competitions and your design may be featured on the wiki for our new headquarters and city.

Scoring:

Each individual will earn five points per event they participate in. Participation is defined as a valid submission for an event. Simply signing up for an event or uploading an unqualified submission will not count. You have to put in the effort in order to receive the reward. Participation will earn 5 points.

In addition to participation points, the top three individuals in each competition will earn placement modifier points.

• First place will earn 4 points
  
• Second place will earn 3 points
  
• Third place will earn 2 points
  
• All other entries will earn 1 point
  

Events themselves will have modifiers based on their perceived difficulty/level of effort required.

• The modifier for fiction will be 3
  
• The modifier for gaming/graphics/poetry will be 2
  
• No modifier will be added to puzzle/trivia/flash events
  

Grading formula: (Placement Score * Event Modifier) + Participation = Event Score

Point ties will be broken by comparing the number and position of finishes within the sub-competitions. e.g., If two participants have 30 points and Player A has two first place finishes and Player B has one first place and one second place the tie is broken in favor of Player A.

At the end of the competition, the individual scores for all sub-competitions will be added up, and the top three individuals will earn crescents for the overall competition.
