Background:

This year has been eventful. As it draws to a close, the Clan Gathers to celebrate the annual tradition of Sithmas. Clan members exchange gifts, dine on fine meals of roasted beast (ewok is a favorite), and enjoy the delicious baked goods that come with life on the Dark Side.

Since the unification of the Caperion System and the relocation of Clan Scholae Palatinae to Seraph, an increasing threat of piracy and crime has grown. Now, during the traditional holiday season, a nefarious party has targeted and stolen all of the Clan's Sithmas Gifts and Decorations! Making himself known as the want-to-be Crime Lord Claudius the Hutt, a new villain has arisen for Clan Scholae Palatinae!

Only you can stop this depraved criminal and save Sithmas! The Consul and Proconsul have put out the call. There are 14 various events which you can participate in to help stop The Hutt that Stole Sithmas.

Scoring:

Each individual will earn five points per event they participate in. Participation is defined as a valid submission for an event. Simply signing up for an event or uploading an unqualified submission will not count. You have to put in the effort in order to receive the reward. Participation will earn 5 points.

In addition to participation points, the top three individuals in each competition will earn placement modifier points.

First place will earn 4 points Second place will earn 3 points Third place will earn 2 points All other entries will earn 1 point Events themselves will have modifiers based on their perceived difficulty/level of effort required.

The modifier for fiction will be 3 The modifier for gaming/graphics/poetry will be 2 No modifier will be added to puzzle/trivia/flash events Grading formula: (Placement Score * Event Modifier) + Participation = Event Score

Point ties will be broken by comparing the number and position of finishes within the sub-competitions. e.g., If two participants have 30 points and Player A has two first place finishes and Player B has one first place and one second place the tie is broken in favor of Player A.

At the end of the competition, the individual scores for all sub-competitions will be added up, and the top three individuals will earn crescents for the overall competition.
