Competition: [ARC-COU] Tales of the Night

The stories told of this alliance span many years, and we're here to make more still. Are you new to the alliance, or to your respective Clan? Were you there at the signing? And what memories do you make this time around?

Objective

Prompt 1: During the festivities between the two Great Clans, you notice/sense something is not right so you break away to see what has you feeling off. Write your character investigating the disturbance. Is someone trying to break things up between the Clans? Are Clanmates doing some not-so-safe celebrating? You decide what you find! This may be your action or surprise prompt, feel free to use elements of any Clan or DB enemies.

Prompt 2: You’re caught up in the party. The music is bumping, the drinks are flowing and there is a lively energy. Write your character enjoying the party. You’re free to include any other characters you wish to include. This is a more casual option for slice of holiday life.

Prompt 3: Using Qyreia Arronen, Ruka Tenbriss Ya-ir, Aurora "Aura" Ta'var and/or Revak K'Urr, write a scene of how the Summits renegotiate their relationship. Historically it was focused around trade between the two Clans. Does this remain? Does it expand to include new terms? This is a prompt for intrigue, politics, and economics.

Rules and Grading

• Choose one (1) prompt as the focus of your fiction and detail how your character(s) [do the thing]. The story should focus on your chosen character(s) that may include your main, alt, and/or NPCs with valid character sheets or accurately depict a Summit member in Prompt 3.
• This fiction may be completed solo or in groups of up to three (3) people.
• Solo fictions must be a minimum of 500 words and follow the standard process of submitting the file with a selection of the desired Loadout(s) for your personal character(s).
• If cooperative, all writers must write a minimum of 500 words, and each author's work must be distinguished in the text by color, font, etc. Only one person needs to submit a file; others listed will be manually added by the competition organizers. The textbox or final file PDF must include all character snapshots linked. Distinct word counts being provided is appreciated but not required.
• Accepted submission format for solo entries are in the site textbox, .pdf, .doc, or .txt. formats. Anything in a Google Doc must be exported as a PDF for submission.
• Accepted submission forms for cooperative entries are PDF only. A link may be provided to a Google document to show work.
• Grading will be done in accordance with the Fiction Grading Rubric

Scoring

• 1st place will receive 5 points
• 2nd place will receive 4 points
• 3rd place will receive 3 point
• Participation will earn 1 point
