Those inhabiting Tekpantli have their own selection of caxqettes to choose from (called caxats), with variations that are as suited to their environment as their partnered Selenian. Understanding the appearance of these creatures is as much a scientific anomaly as it is important for developing tactics against them, given they generally want to either eat us or use us as incubators.

Rules, Grading, & Awards

• Create an original image of one of the caxats — caxqettes that have taken on a modicum of domestication to the islanders. It can be one from the event fiction(s), or of your own design.
• Images may be created using traditional (ex. pencil and paper) or digital (ex. Photoshop, MS Paint) means. Submitted images must be in PNG, JPG, or PDF formats to ensure readability for the grader.
  
• Images will be graded according to the Graphics Grading Rubric.
  
• Valid submissions will be awarded Clusters of Graphite according to the Herald Guidelines. The top placements will be awarded Third Level Crescents according to participation guidelines.
  
• Entries will be blind graded.
