Competition: Parasites? On my Voidbreaker?

Prompt: The rescue team that was dispatched to the distant wreck has learned the threat the crystals could pose, if not properly handled. They hastily called the Voidbreaker with the information of the crystal parasites, warning them of the threat that's been introduced to the ship's cargo hold.

Rules In at least 500 words, write a fiction about a character or NPC aboard the Voidbreaker deals with the sudden parasite infestation. Are they one of the people immediately aware that move to secure the cargo? Are they minding themselves in their room or other recreational area when a parasite bursts in, seeking their heat?
