Rules

So far in Parabellum, we’ve taught people to kill. We’ve gone toe-or-toe-equivalent to toe-or-toe-equivalent against a violent Coruscant street gang. Now we’re ready for our biggest threat yet: auditing purchase orders.

Nah, I’m just kidding, you’re probably going to beat people up until they tell you where the guns went. But in the meantime, let’s do nerd stuff with numbers. It’s mathemagical!

In the subscriber details, you’ll find a link to a Shadow Academy exam with ten (10) clues pointing to ten (10) numbers.

For participation credit, you must submit a number for every question. The number doesn’t have to be right or anything close to it, but you do need to at least put something down.

Scoring

Placement will be awarded based on the number of correct answers, with ties broken in favor of the shortest time spent on the exam. In the unlikely event that two members are still tied for a placement medal, Arch will think of a number and ask both members to guess, and the tie will be settled in favor of whoever is closer. This will be repeated (with increasing desperation) as many times as necessary.

The timer is based on when you start the SA exam, not when you subscribe to this competition.

Tips and Tricks

You won’t have to do any math more complicated than what you learned in elementary school. This is more like a trivia comp, or a scavenger hunt. That said, there is some adding and dividing, so you might want to have a calculator handy.

All answers can be found on darkjedibrotherhood.com, so take a moment to familiarize yourself with the site’s nooks and crannies before you start the exam. There’s the wiki, obviously, and the roster, but did you know about the news archive and the statistics page and the item research page? Really get in there and explore the space.
