Competition: Shrouding New Ground: RP: Hunter or Prey?

The Shroud Syndicate has welcomed a diversity of crews to search for riches on Nancora. Many of them found valuables, others didn’t and were left empty handed and penniless. You are one of these crews and you have to fight for your life and for your haul.

Objective:

Write an RP with a team of players. Pick one: your team can either be a winning crew who found something valuable and is defending their haul, or a penniless crew trying to steal from one of the winners for an easy payday. Come up with a plan, execute it and either fly off with treasure or empty pockets.

Rules:

Teams must have 2-5 members. They are not required to be from the same Clan.

• This RP is very free form. We elect not to restrain you by artificial restraints like where your story is happening, or who your opponents are. Let your creativity flow, but keep it in the spirit and world of Star Wars and Brotherhood canon.

• Each Team’s RP must be named using the following convention: “SNG:N RP - [Team Name]” where “Team Name” is a unique name for the team. If we can’t find your RP thread, we can’t grade it!

• For participation credit, members must post a minimum of at least 500 words in their team [IC] RP thread. Members who post less than 500 words total will be disqualified. Posts may be edited as per the Edit Rules below.

• Members may write their main characters, alternative characters, and/or NPCs into the RP in whichever way they see fit. You may use characters without CS, however each team member must have at least one Snapshotted character in the RP. We will not pay any attention to loadouts in grading and realism.

• An author MAY send consecutive messages in order to complete one coherent “post.” Discord messages cannot exceed 2,000 characters, so multiple consecutive messages may be necessary for long posts – plan accordingly, and be sure to write your posts outside of Discord and copy/paste them into the application if you anticipate them being longer than a few hundred words. For reference, this bulleted list of rules is approximately 2,000 characters long.

• Authors anticipating the need for multiple messages can send placeholder messages that they later edit to fill in with sections of their post, to ensure that others do not interrupt a cohesive post.

• Posts may be edited or deleted at any time, but doing so may disrupt the flow of the RP and negatively impact your Team’s score.

• Teams may freely interact with, and do as they please, to any members of the Shroud Syndicate sub-faction. Note that anything done to these characters is not canon for the NPC or Brotherhood.

• Teams may also interact with any Brotherhood characters, but please use good judgment when writing other members’ characters, and ask for permission first.

• Once the RP is closed and processed by the Exarch staff, only one member of the team needs to submit the RP URL to the competition. It will auto add your teammates.

The RP will be graded following the Voice Fiction Rubric.
