Specifics

Yay, poetry! The competition will run for eight days, in which you will have three topics to write haikus for. If you don't know how to write a haiku, ask Google. You may submit to one, two, or all three topics if you wish. Please submit them all at the same time to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]

First topic: Write about your feelings and thoughts as you cruise through space on the Arcona fleet. It's been a while on the fleet, you're bound to be feeling something. Boredom? Annoyed with the fella you sleep next to each night? Do you shower regularly?

Second topic: Recall the Dajorra System, your memories of it before it was lost to the Vong. You can shape this however you want, your character may not have many memories of the system. Do you recall it as dark and foreboding, or as a haven for others like you?

Third topic: Free. Write about whatever you want. But make it a haiku, at least.

The hard part is packaging all the details into the short amount of syllables allowed for haiku. Good luck.
