I would add an upgrade tier to the DC by inserting a new first-tier upgrade (Iron), shifting Copper above Steel, and adjusting all of the rest up by one:

I would add a Grand Cross w/ Pendant of "Temptation", "Imperilment", and "Submission". Obviously the Four Stages don't sync perfectly with adding only three tiers of upgrades, but "Atonement" doesn't sound very Dark Jedi-y anyway.

The new GC upgrades should be added to the bottom of the upgrade scale because they reflect pieces of the symbology of the medal, where as the existing three upgrades are more complete representations of the Dark Side.

I'm going to be wild and work outside of the box.

I would like to recommend that outside of the two Clusters, instead of creating new names for more addons... we just delete all the addons.

I'm going to give you a tiny bit of history on this.

In the original days, Addons were for medals when someone earning 4 SCs was almost unheard of. Back then, a SC-SoP (4SCs) was almost as prestigious as a sacramental award. Medals used to be scarce, and were often listed on every email members sent, as they identified themselves not by a dossier number, but by an ID Line.

In today's day and age, none of those things apply. The only medals with addons that have any sort of function at this point are the Clusters, due to the ungodly amount of them that are awarded. Every other award in the Brotherhood, beyond merely being listed as "DCx30" serves only one purpose: a static amount of prestige and eventually credits per award.

ID Lines are no longer used as a form of identification. People do not advertise their medals. Make the ID line cleaner, and just go back to GCx3 / SCx7 / ACx6 / DCx23 / GNx13 / SNx10 / BNx22

We already use a simple number system with seals and crescents. Lets prevail upon some wisdom and do it elsewhere too.
